Great chilli

Excellent chilli for an early lunch. Just what we needed on a cold mornings skiing! Kept going back too?

When we are skiing Snowmass, Gwyn's is the place we go for lunch most often. There is a good selection of salads, soups, and grill items (not to mention desserts - the rice krispy treats are always fresh!). Their rice bowls are very good too. There is a large deck for eating outdoors, though getting a table on a sunny... More

We've skied this mountain for over 20 years and eating lunch at Gwyn's was a ritual. This year, we decided was our last. The food was mediocre, the choices limited, the grill extremely slow and the menu tired. It took over 20 minutes to prepare a Chicken George (grilled chicken with cheese and pineapple) and a hamburger the other day.... More

We were fortunate enough to make it here for breakfast once during our trip. The issue here is that although the ownership says you can get there by foot, everyone else in the community including the staff say you can only ski to it and that you should be at least an intermediate skier. If you can make it....do! So... More

My husband and I stopped for lunch today while skiing Snowmass. We thought the menu was very good - offering lots of healthy choices (and some decadent things, too)! But with the first bite of the kale salad, my husband declared it the best ever. I am always on the look out for great salads and dressings and this one... More

We have been eating here for over 30 years the only Snowmass Mountain Restaurant independently owned with one of the owners always on site. The staff is pleasent and helpful. The food offerings are wide from the basics to more elaborate selections available in the table service area called Gwyns. On busy days the main food line splits into two... More

We normally have a special breakfast at Gwen's when visiting Snowmass, but this time we had lunch. The Risotto was spectacular after a crisp salad with house dressing. Choice of dessert was difficult but chocolate pie was wonderful. Service as always was perfect. It is such a treat to sit down with linen table cloths, an intimate atmosphere, and look... More

An example of stereotypical ski slope food; $16.50 for a cheeseburger, clementine, and crowded. The big burger was visually appealing, but had little taste, the clementine had more flavor by far. The large digital/video menus were incomplete and changed before you could figure them out. Some items were not listed. Many items appeared to have price$ you will only discover... More

After a long day skiing in freezing temperatures, any hot drink in little refuge should be enough of a respite. But Gywn's is waaaay beyond that, and so is the recovery experience in there. Food is wonderful. I always appreciate it when a place churning out hundreds of hot meals a day still go through the effort of providing gluten-free... More

First impression of the building was it was cute, but definitely dated. Having eaten at some of the nice on Mountain lunch places at Deer Valley and Vail's 10 this restaurant just seemed a little tired. However, the service was excellent. We had nine of us so pretty much every breakfast item was ordered. No complaints by anyone. My eggs... More
