Don't try to walk here

We walked up from Elk Camp gondola and with low altitude lungs it was a work out - well worth it. Lovely atmosphere, attentive service and super good food with portions that made me not want to walk down. The prices are are reasonable considering the location and the flavors are all very distinct.

Everywhere on the mountain is spendy, and this wasn't much different. They do move people through fast, and there is plenty of seating. and boot warmers!

My group of five has been skiing in Snowmass for 8 years and our last-day lunch at Gwyn's Dining Room has become a tradition. Gwyn's offers exceptional menu selections and a quality wine list, with reasonably priced choices. Recommend making reservations and ask for window table as the view is spectacular when the sun shines. Patrons can count on Gywn... More

We have eaten every year at Gwyn's since it opened, so you can accuse me of bias? Really, it is the best breakfast in Snowmass. This is a ski-to restaurant on the mountain. I had trout benedict! Poached eggs on smoked trout on English Muffin all covered why hollandaise. The best ever breakfast!!! This was served with several sweet rolls... More

My partner and I have spent eight days skiing at Snowmass and have enjoyed eating lunch at Gwyns four times. The selection and quality of the food amazed us. Their service was also excellent. Sitting outside in the sun at 10,000ft was an extremely pleasant experience.

When up skiing we always look for places that serve great soup. This place has spectacular views of the mountains and serves delicious soups. We only go here for soup so am not familiar with rest of the menu but definitely one of the best places on Snowmass mountain. Especially the view. You cannot miss that.

We stopped for a late lunch at Gwyn's. Our option was to be seated at a table or go through the tray line. We opted for the latter. We split a delicious Ruben Sandwich and fresh salad. It also has a full bar. We opted to eat inside as it was cold the day we had lunch there. However outdoor... More

Once again, Gwyn’s High Alpine Restaurant is exceptional. I spend 2 weeks each winter in Snowmass and eat the majority of meals out, either in Snowmass or Aspen. The service, atmosphere and quality of food is better than anywhere. The wait staff is extremely friendly, accommodating, and very well-trained. I am a foody and truly enjoy great food, I look... Stay right for Gwyn's restaurant. Left and you're in the arena where you fight for your food. Not 5 star hotel food but it's not trying to be. Friendly service, very well selected and cooked food. Great choice of wines. Spoils the skier who can afford to spend an hour here for lunch. Might even be the benchmark on- mountain... More
