Always visited at least once a season in the winter while skiing, the comfy warm atmosphere where you are served scrumptious lunches. Haven't eaten breakfast - but heard it is really good there -- We have been eating lunch here for the past 20 plus winter seasons and the food is always good. Try and make a reservation. Beats standing... More

Cafeteria style, excellent food, lots of choices, never disappointed-- very expensive however. But everything during ski season is expensive. One can also sit down, and be served in Gwen's. They have a small side restaurant that also has excellent food and great service.

We made the mistake of going to Gwyn's on our second day of skiing. We missed a day! If given the opportunity, we would have breakfast and lunch each day we were there. Service is fantastic, food is perfect, wine list is lovely ... and the crocs vs. ski boots option is the proverbial "icing".

This restaurant needs to be cleaned from top to bottom. The smell is horrible, and the restrooms are inconvenient. Way to expensive for the fare that it served.

Gwyn's is a wonderful treat. We visit snowmass a couple of weeks each winter and never miss a meal at Gwyn's High Alpine for lunch. The daily specials never disappoint, lunch can last as long or short as you desire, and the wait staff is super friendly.

Brought back memories of dining in Austrian, Swiss or Spanish ski resorts. Great family meal. Definitely more expensive than most ... but the food and ambiance also are so much better. The lamb chops - signature dish - were simply delectable! I will return just to eat them again. Yummmmmmy! Kids had a great meal, as well!

Our family (three generations of simultaneous skiers) loves both the quick, delicious, casual cafeteria-style meal on the "High Alpine" side of the restaurant, AND the leisurely sit-down luxury experience on the "Gwyn's" side. Several members of the family want to eat here every skiing meal of the week if possible, and tend to ignore all the other slopeside possibilities (what,... More

What a delightful way to take a mid-day break. The food and service were excellent. Very European feel. The prices are reasonable for a higher end restaurant. LOVED the mushroom risotto. Only thing to watch out for: You'll be VERY relaxed after lunch and may want to just stick around instead of skiing.

We had lunch hear 1 day while skiing. It is important to note that there is the Gwyn's Restaurant and then also a fast food/cafeteria style line where everyone eats lunch midday. Gwyn's place is fine dining and sit down. I love that they have Crocs to wear so you can take off your ski boots and really relax. I... More
