Happiness is starting the day with Brunch at Gwen's High Alpine. The food is delicious, the views spectacular and the staff very friendly. The challenge is going out to ski after a full breakfast. But if you don't want to do brunch then definitely this is a great place to grab a bit for lunch. On a nice day you... More

High Alpine has a cafeteria and a sit down restaurant, Gwyn's. For years I ate lunch at Gwyn's, which has fabulous food. The soups are the best I have ever had. I don't eat there now, since my hotel serves lunch as part of the price for a room. Also Gwyn's has become very expensive. The cafeteria is good but... More

The food is very good at Gwyn's and it holds a throwback appeal in contrast to the chic new Elk Camp restaurant. While the grill staff can be a bit lackadaisical (grill orders are called out over a microphone when you first enter the line, but often times they don't make it to the grill, then you wait a few... Locally-owned and operated on-mountain establishment that makes all of their food onsite and is by far the best place on Snowmass Mt......and is obviously the locals choice if you look around the dining room or bar.

For $16 you can get a great bowl of Chicken Stew. A pricey menu; this mountain restaurant also offers a more expensive sit down service in their restaurant Gwen's High Alpine. The food is delicious and worth a stop for a late afternoon lunch with wine before you ski home. The bar downstairs is casual and fun and the deck... More

On the contrary i found the selection of food quite varied & interesting and always tasty. A real delightful place to take a break or finish off the afternoon. Kudos to the staff who are friendly & accomodating!

Loved the old style feel and the home made food. Location on the mountain was great. We will go back to Gwyn's High Alpine.

More of a cafeteria like restaurant on one side (there is a sit down side that we did not eat at). The food was good, quick service, full bar. There is seating ouside. I had the tuna melt, which was incredible. The location was great for a quick lunch stop.

Great place to rest. Very busy around lunch but still worth the break. Prices are high but where else you going to eat?

The cafeteria is the best food on the mountain. Significant discounts for seniors over 70; free food if 90 or over! Consistently good over the years. We never miss it if we have lunch on the mountain.
