consistently good food in a place run by people who care. Wish there weren't quite so many stairs but we manage. salads and soups are very good.

Best food on the mountain. Great rice Krispy treats. French onion soup is a must when they have it as a special. Don't save seats or George will pay you a friendly visit.

We were given a voucher for a free breakfast as part of our accommodation so decided to try it out. I am glad we did because it is not often that you get to eat lovely pancakes while being beside a ski slope. My daughter eat eggs with salmon which she seemed to enjoy as much as I did my... More

Exhorbitant prices for barely adequate food. $18 for one small chicken breast and a gator aid is ridiculous.

Gwynne's High Alpine seems to get most of the lunch ski crows and it is very efficient and the food is good but it is incredibly expensive.

Whether you indulge in the sit down section of the restaurant known as Gwynn"s or breeze through the buffet line definitely set aside at least a day to enjoy a meal here. High Alpine is one of the last individually owned restaurants on the Aspen Skiing Company mountains and George and Gwynn will be there to greet you. Everyday there... More

Happiness is starting the day with Brunch at Gwen's High Alpine. The food is delicious, the views spectacular and the staff very friendly. The challenge is going out to ski after a full breakfast. But if you don't want to do brunch then definitely this is a great place to grab a bit for lunch. On a nice day you... More

High Alpine has a cafeteria and a sit down restaurant, Gwyn's. For years I ate lunch at Gwyn's, which has fabulous food. The soups are the best I have ever had. I don't eat there now, since my hotel serves lunch as part of the price for a room. Also Gwyn's has become very expensive. The cafeteria is good but... More

The food is very good at Gwyn's and it holds a throwback appeal in contrast to the chic new Elk Camp restaurant. While the grill staff can be a bit lackadaisical (grill orders are called out over a microphone when you first enter the line, but often times they don't make it to the grill, then you wait a few...
