As of December 1 Krabloonik has a new owner, Gina, who comes from owning a lodge and restaurant in Idaho. She knows the upscale restaurant business very well and has kept the entire staff. She's very dedicated to ensuring everyone as a very special night out and clearly takes pride in her restaurant's guests. Our party of five had several... More

Everything was delicious. Mushroom soup, Lobstercargot, Winter Salad, Elk Tartare, Macadamia-Crusted Trout and the best lamb chops I have ever had. The wait staff was friendly but we definitely felt rushed.

We chose this restaurant based on trip advisor reviews and were not disappointed. We started our meal with the buffalo short ribs...melt in your mouth deliciousness! I chose the buffalo tenderloin with truffle mash potatoes and winter vegetables, which had me saying "Mmmm, yum" after every bite. My husband had the Elk tenderloin with spatzels and winter vegetables. He raved... More

I have been coming to Krabloonik for years and it is always a highlight of our Holiday vacation.. It is one of the most special meals and experiences in the Rocky Mountains. With the recent ownership change, I was concerned that too many changes had taken place and the experience would be spoiled. However, I was pleasantly surprised and my... More

We come here every year because of the awesome food, local flavor, low-key atmosphere, friendly staff, and history. Their game meats are always cooked to perfection. Not to mention, seeing the dogs while your there.

I was interested to see how this restaurant was after a switch in ownership. Be assured, it is better than ever! The new owners are engaging and pleasant. The service is better than ever and the food is some of the best I've had. The cozy mountain cabin experience is a true "must do" if visiting Aspen or Snowmass Village.... More

Ate here last night on opening night. The food is exceptional and wild game choice probably the best in the area. Decent wine selection as well. I would recommend doing the sleigh ride and dinner - such a fun and unique experience. Log cabin setting in the snow is very romantic so always a good spot to take partner- it... More

Words cannot truly begin to explain. Breath taking beauty, rare and unique in all aspects. People come for the dogs and are astounded with the authentic gormet food. Would not eat any where else on your trip. Love this place. Dogs in the back country with snow and more brings you back to basics.

Our meal was wonderful. My wife and I split the chef's tartare which was delicious and one of the most beautiful dishes I've been served. We both had the wild mushroom soup; it was thick, creamy, almost meaty. My wife chose the elk and I chose the Colorado lamb as entrees. Both were as tender and flavorful as is possible.... More
