I enjoyed the fine dining here. The elk, one of my favorites, was delicious as was the reasonably priced wine. Small dining area with a great northern hunting feel. Meeting the dogs outside was a treat as well, they are all so sweet. This is a must visit if you are in Aspen.

Our family traveled to Aspen the week before Christmas. Though its a bit of a trek up the mountain to this wonderful place when its snowing hard, it is definitely worth it! The dogsled ride is great. It's such a different thing, specially for a brazilian, that we forget the astonishing prices. in the midlle of the ride there's a stop at the forest where we really find ourselves amongst a idilic winter scenary. As of December 1 Krabloonik has a new owner, Gina, who comes from owning a lodge and restaurant in Idaho. She knows the upscale restaurant business very well and has kept the entire staff. Everything was delicious. Mushroom soup, Lobstercargot, Winter Salad, Elk Tartare, Macadamia-Crusted Trout and the best lamb chops I have ever had. The wait staff was friendly but we definitely felt rushed.
