Comfortable Surroundings, Good Food

Il Poggio had two rooms. The one in the front was a bar with a television and a few tables. The back room had only tables. We were seated in the back room at a round table near the window. Our waiter brought us delicious olives and great bread as we enjoyed our glasses of wine before our... read more

We live part of the year in Italy, so a restaurant that claims to be Italian has a high hurdle to clear. But this one doesn't come close. My wife ordered a "special" "Tuscan Bread Soup" which had no relation to the actual bread soup. It was simply a tomato soup with bread. Real Tuscan Bread Soup (La Ribolitta) has... More

We had a very good meal and you can't beat the location, right in the Snowmass Mall. There is a very large wine selection and a wide range of choices on the menu. We particularly like the Pizette appetizer and the Linguini with shrimp entree. The duck was also good, but came undercooked (they happily cooked it further). Call well... More

I have come here at least once a year for many years and Il Poggio consistently provides a fine dinning experience. The food is very good and the service friendly. The pizza is great as are the full course meals. The wine list is extensive, although I always have to ask for recommendations because I don't know Italian wines that... More

Convenient restaurant for those staying at the nearby hotels like the Westin. Pretty decent Italian food for US standards Restaurant decoration is quite original and service is very efficient and pleasant.

This was fantastic food and they even had gluten free pasta so that many of the dishes were available in gluten free! The only problem here is that you have to have a reservation. If you don't, you can take a chance and eat at the bar.

Great restaurant with an authentic Italian menu and presentation. Great service but a bit crowded and a little noisy but the meal made it worthwhile. Portions just right. I had fettuccine with shrimp artichokes and tomatoes. It was just right, lots of flavor and not just the fettuccine noodles! Need a reservation they are busy from opening to closing. Met... More
