Loved everything we ate at Handlebars... pan fried trout, chicken fried steak, chicken fried chicken, honey dipped fried chicken (best ever), veal parmesan (awesome), prime rib (huge portion), bbq ribs- soooo good! We liked it so much we ate here 2 nights. Portions are large. Salads were fresh. Cocktails generous. Would recommend. One thing- for groups of 6 or more... More

Yes, there are plenty of animal heads hanging from the walls and a gift shop as you come in. It's a real touristy place. Happily thought, the sandwiches are the real deal on whole wheat (the real kind) and rye with fresh lettuce and enough to keep us going for the afternoon. This is a family run concern with the kids... We both ordered the Handlebar burger which is a half pound of beef. The burgers are cooked on a flame not fried. The vegetables were served on the side. This was one of the best burgers I have eated at a restaurant and as good as you can cook at home. You will need a lot of napkins as they... More

Drove up here for lunch one afternoon. Thought it'd be a biker bar with crappy food. No! Nice laid back atmosphere, friendly welcoming staff, and great food! The prices were reasonable, ingredients fresh! Summer trip. It was busy. Love this little place. Would go back alone if I could get over my fear of going over Red Mountain Pass. Would... More

We arrived in Silverton over Cinnamon Pass in our Jeep with 2 friends and stopped at the Handlebar for lunch. After a very short wait we got to our table and ordered. My wife an I split a huge and tasty Fajita Salad that was loaded with veggies and chicken. One friend had the Grilled Breast of Chicken sandwich and... More

this is a great tourist destination. the interior is so much fun the staff is friendly and happy. the food was greasy/not healthy at all and don't expect it to be great. it is tourist food with grease, butter and then more buttery greasy stuff. it is just for the atmosphere.

I had the rocky mountain oysters with a side of fries. Oysters were very good. The fries were mixed white and sweet potato which was different but they were very good.

We were told that this was the place we "must" eat at, so after disembarking from the train, we beelined straight over there to squeeze in lunch. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait, but it was really only 10-15 minutes. They squeezed 5 of us in at a table for 4; the whole place was really... More

i am always a bit concerned that places which go overboard on the kitsch and cute are trying to distract attention from second rate food. Not so at Handlebars. The place is chock-full of cutesy kitsch, but the food is excellent. The place was hopping when we turned up on a Friday night and got one of the last available... More
