We were looking for a place to have lunch after a morning of sightseeing. A local told us about this restaurant, and said it was ok. The food was just that. . Ok. I had a buffalo burger. It was overcooked and served on a cheap grocery store bun. The rings were so so. However, sweet potato fries were really... More

Several people from the area told us to eat here when driving in from 4-wheeling in the morning. The restaurant is pretty small and can get packed when the train comes in from Durango so get there before then. Their salads are very large and tasty as well as their hamburgers but honestly I'm not sure where the 'hype' is... More

Cute place with a homey atmosphere. Service was fine, very friendly. Food was very average and there were only 3 beers on tap. There was also an 18% gratuity added for parties over six, or if you wanted your bill split up. The experience was fine, just nothing spectacular.

We came across the mountains by jeep from Lake City. Beautiful Trip. We got to the restaurant just before the train arrived. This is a family owned and run restaurant. The staff was great, as was the hamburger. They have many choices, and mine arrived just as I had ordered it with delicious onion rings. They have great local cold... More

We'd been told this was the place to eat in Silverton by 2-3 folks earlier in the day, so we decided on it for dinner. Food was very good (caution: some portions are BIG) and service was solid. The atmosphere is excellent and the place really did seem to be the place everyone went to (we even saw our tour... More

The food was good. The service was good. If you do not like looking at trophy animals this might not be the best place to eat. It's eclectic and rustic. It was super busy when we ate there. You can take your family there. It's recommended to eat the chicken fried steak. Which I did. It was good, but it... More

It was my family's first trip to Silverton and Handlebars was highly recommended. It didn't dissappoint. First we got onion rings for an appetizer and they were unbelievable. My son had the chicken pot pie and it was so delushious and creamy. I had the green chilli burger and it was also filling and spicy. My only complaint is it... More

Food was fast and great tasting. Our server was a professional- he didnt miss a single step of service and was turning and burning that place. Atmosphere was great and we would recommend.

We ate lunch here while waiting to take the train back to Durango. There is so much to see, stuffed animals (full size), animal heads, etc. The service is great, very efficient. If you want to eat here, you had better get off the train and literally "run" so you can beat the train crowd to the restaurant. Prices are... More
