Great food and service, owners need to...

Loved the service staff and wonderful food but why do the owners not take care in keeping this wonderful historic site maintained? A great paint job would be awesome!

We recently stayed in the hotel and ate in the restaurant. This is a hidden gem in Silverton. The rooms were immaculate and the Chef is a Master. The food was great! They were gracious and previewed the rooms for us. DO NOT BE AFRAID TO EAT OR STAY AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT

Went in for lunch and decided on the house special sandwich, The Tremont, and it was mediocre at best. My husband chose the soup of the day, white chicken chili, what he received was a vegetable soup with beans. Will so not be returning.

I have enjoyed lunch here twice. The first time was several months ago when we arrived on the Durango & Silverton train. The food was good and there was a piano player that provided great entertainment. However, my most resent visit was last week after driving to Silverton and having dinner; there was no entertainment and the service was poor;... More

We decided to have lunch here from advice from our bus driver. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I had Chicken fried steak. They sure didn't get it from Sam's and warm it up! I would say it was more of a tenderized sirloin. As my kids say "real meat". Service was a little slow. But, the meal made up for it.

We come back and enjoy Master Chef Bonnie's wonderful offerings! She is the reason we return each year. Her hand cut steaks and weekly dinner specials are a treat. We enjoy eating here for lunch and dinner. We wish breakfast was served too but Bonnie can only do so much. Location is right across from the stage coach rides. It... More

After 3 1/2 hour train ride through the mountains, your family must eat everything in sight in order to not hurt each other immediately. With that in mind, the Bent Elbow was the first restaurant we laid eyes on. The chicken fried steak was decent- hand battered but lacking flavor. The salad with strawberries, feta, mixed greens and pistachios was... More

OK Bonnie is the chef. A family favorite for us. We have been coming here since 71. Bonnie has not disappointed. Great lunches and a fine dining dinner menu. The building is as rustic as can be. It's was filmed in many 1950's technicolor westerns. When you exit the train go to the corner and turn left. It's at the... More

We went there for lunch after getting off the train. Food was okay, nothing special and did come out of the kitchen in a timely manner. However the service was horrible. I had to go find the silverware and napkins myself. After she passed up our table many times I know she saw our empty glasses but she never refilled.... More
