On 8/23/14 While on a bus tour 6 of us decided on Grump's as the place to eat. Jennifer, our waitress was pleasant, efficient, and had a great personality. Service was fast and food was plentiful, and very good. Had a great piano player, good music, not to loud. If I return this will be the place to eat. Will... More

After being cash-sucked in Ouray, it was great to experience a real original Colorado history town and the old vintage Grand Hotel this restaurant is in on the Main drag. Single digit prices-OMG does Ouray know what that is? Plenty of space between tables (not cattled in even when the train comes into town) with lots of real historical décor... More

While waiting for our train to Durango, we had lunch at Grumpy's based on reviews. The food was very good and the service staff were very friendly. The girl playing the piano is amazing. Check out the 18" thick walls in this building and all the other beautiful architectural features.

Enjoyed an terrific lunch during a stopover while driving the San Juan Skyway. The restaurant is located in an old hotel and was extremely crowded. Nonetheless the service was swift and the menu options diverse and fresh. A great asset to the dining experience was the ragtime piano player who entertained diners and was very friendly. I definitely would eat... More

We enjoyed our lunch here and service was prompt. Our sandwiches come quickly and were very good. It was busy throughout our visit, but they had plenty of staff to take care of people. Day we were there they had a young lady playing the piano and in the evening we noticed there was a gentleman playing the guitar.

We only stopped in for a beer in the afternoon. The food we saw looked really good. The reubon must be pretty good as we saw a lot of them being served. The best part of our visit was meeting a local at the bar who gave us some great history of the building. They had a woman playing piano... More

We were drawn in the the piano player by the door. We ate here twice. We just had burgers & fries which were very good. The atmosphere is alot of fun with stuffed animals and pictures of the area in by-gone years.

We took the train up and decided on Grumpy's because we had heard good things from others on the train. I had the Kacey's Favorite turkey and melted cheese sandwich. My husband had the steak sandwich (which was a little bit of steak and a lot of fried!). Both were entirely forgettable.

This is a difficult review to write because we went here twice, once by car after the last train had left, and again when traveling to Silverton on the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railway, and the experiences were quite different. We first visited after travelling to Silverton by car, the last train had left, and we just wanted a... More
