I frequent this place a lot. If your hungry and want a good quick breakfast this is the place. Looks and feels like a locals hang out but the words out. On the weekends many out of towners come here to eat. Best of all they have real coffee (not foo foo) :)

If you can get past the decor, ie duct taped stools, you will see why this place is so popular. The parking lot is packed every morning with working men pickup trucks. The breakfasts are the best in my opinion. My favorite is the green chili eggs. The staff is always friendly and the service is great.

My spouse and I were in Silverthorne doing some shopping and were looking for a good place to eat. Mountain lyon cafe had the best reviews in the area so we decided to try it out. the food was good and at a decent price but we left hungry still. The service was basic; took our order, brought our food and... We found this little gem while going up for a snow-mobile tour. It is a quaint little diner with fantastic food in huge quantities and amazingly flaky fresh hot biscuits. We had about forty minutes waiting time when we arrived on a Saturday morning at 10:00. It was totally worth the wait. Coffee was very good, and the crowd was... More

We stopped here last weekend for breakfast the morning after a long day on the mountain. Being from out of town, we love to try as many restaurants as possible and I am SO glad that we came to Mountain Lyon Cafe. I ordered the banana nut pancakes and they were some of the best pancakes I've ever had. The... More

This is a local's favorite in Silverthorne. I sought shelter there while waiting for my bus to arrive next door. I ordered the cup of soup and half sandwich--both really good, the soup especially. Portions are huge so order lightly.

Piercing deep blue eyes the color of Arizona turquoise, a warm inviting smile on a winter's day, Brook, a native of St Louis, Missouri said "welcome to the Mountain Lyon, I'll be your server" within seconds of our sitting down in the booth by the front window. Serving only breakfast and lunch, the Mountain Lyon Café is a "locals" hang-out... More

Lyon's Cafe is just a little ways off the beaten path if you are heading up to go skiing. It's less than 3 minutes North of the I-70 exit for Silverthorne on HWY 9. It's worth it if you are looking for a great local meal. I've only been there for breakfast and have never left disappointed. Give it try... More

When pulling up to the Mountain Lyon Cafe the parking lot was full and the line was out the door, so the question is do we wait or go somewhere else? It was like mass confusion but we decided to stay and boy am I glad we did! It took about 15 min to be seated, really not too bad.... More

The Breakfast is pretty standard, but still has something for everyone. The portions are large. The place was packed when we went on a Saturday morning, however we didn't have to wait long. They get you in and out very quickly, the staff are attentive but rushed.
