Great food, good prices

The portions were generous (we took half our lunch home), the food fresh, the waitress helpful--and they have awesome pecan pie!! It's a popular spot so we had a bit of a wait, but it was well worth it.

Very enjoyable time and interesting selections. Our server was terrific. One Buffalo Burger and Meatloaf with Elk, Buffalo, Sausage and Beef. A delicious Chicken dish with Feta and Spinach. Our meals were flavorful and super filling. The Lemon Pie looked delicious, but no room for that. Another time for that,

We have eaten at the county bounty for over 25 years. It must have sold to people that don't care. Had a steak there 2 years ago that was one of the best I ever had, Valentin's dinner was very disappointing, steak and meal were of very poor quality. We will not be back.

We miss the original Country Bounty! We miss the old fashioned country flare with the focus on family and good old fashioned cooking! The new more contemporary style just doesn't work.

Elk, bison and other interesting things on menu. I had meatloaf which was way too much meat. Sons buffalo burger was good. BBQ sauce tasted different other than long wait it was good. Very homey atmosphere. Giftshop full of kitsch mostly but some Colorado stuff too.

I had a great breakfast called Chile Relleno Shavano, with green chiles and eggs cooked in a casserole. My fiance had a polenta and eggs, which was delicious. I was surprised at the quality of food served in Salida, and this was one of the best.

I got here the evening after coming off a backpack where I climbed two hard fourteeners, so I was hungry and tired. I waited for several minutes at the host station to be seated. Two other guys came in after me and waited with me. When the host appeared, he seated them first, which irritated me a little (I had... More

We're sorry that your experience at the Bounty did not live up to our usual standards. Hosts are trained to alert a server every time they seat someone. It can happen that someone who has been seated goes unnoticed, but we do everything we can to absolutely avoid that. Thanks to your review, I'll be revisiting seating procedures with hosts.... More

We stopped in to the Country Bounty for dinner just minutes before they were closing for the night and were greeted by very friendly staff members. My wife ordered the Monte and I ordered the Open Faced Turkey Sandwich. The Bounty Monte arrived soaked with the French toast batter which was not very well "flash fried" at all so she... More

My husband and I stopped for breakfast. While waiting went to look at the rings in the gift shop. I have quite a bit of knowledge of turquoise and silver jewelry, from classes to working with others in the field. While talking with the owner about the different types of turquoise, I spotted a few pieces that had processed turquoise... More
