On a thrift shop adventure trip my friend and I happened upon Shallots. It was early and we were the only diners but the hostess gave us the window seat. The sandwich of the day was Hot Pastrami served with home made potato chips and crispy coleslaw. The sandwich came piled high with tender pastrami. The chips were delightful and... More

Their breakfast burrito was one of the best I've ever had (and I always order the breakfast burrito when I go out to breakfast). Their ingredients are fresh and the service is friendly and helpful. Shallots is a great restaurant! I went back a few days later to meet a friend for lunch and their Reuben was one of the... More

on a girls trip we visited several restaurants in salida, but our overall favorite was shallots. I had their harvest grain pancakes and they were to die for. I wish I could have gotten the recipe or brought some home to try to replicate them. another wonderful thing ordered at the table was their huevos rancheros. its been almost four... More

we had already eaten but its worth a stop just to try a custom hand made cocktail... think smoked whisky, home made maraschino cherries and 10 varieties off bitters. Worth the wait

Food not good. Fish over cooked, Shrimp drowned in a semi pesto sauce. Staff was very understanding, offed another meal. Chief personally came out and apologized. They offered free desert and a cocktail. We will try agin when we go back

Nice old town environment with a good bar. My wife and I enjoyed a great salad and the smoked chicken. The service was very good and music on Saturday night was way fun.

Amazing. We are still drooling as we talk about the food from Shallots. It's worth the 10+ drive! The food was incredible. We both got specials (Cajun snapper for him and Italian sausage pasta for me) and we cleaned our plates. We spoke with the chef and he was awesome. He even shared his process for cheese crisps and cilantro... More

We had dinner here and enjoyed the food immensely. The menu is not large but the two items we enjoyed were very good. The stuffed chicken Marsala was terrific. My husband had the pork taco appetizer and it was perfect and plenty for a meal. Nice bar here as well with some good beers on tap.

We were 2 couples dining at Shallots last evening for the first time. Two of us had the proscuitto wrapped scampi entre which we both pronounced 'very good.' I didn't remember the description very well, but when it arrived I was not so optimistic; it didn't look great. Four wrapped scampi in a bright green sauce with a lemon slice... More
