The service was okay, the salads were good, wasn't a fan of the entre, had stuffed shrips it was good but the sides of spaghetti which was passable. Don't think that we will return.

I, my family and my friends have eaten here often-not sure why it took so long to write a review. If you are in the mood for a good Rueben sandwich in the Salida area-there is no better place than Shallots. I have tried this sandwich at each restaurant in town and Shallots by far hits the nail on the... More

We visited last evening again and both couples were impressed with the food. I guess we have similar tastes as the four of us ordered two Bolognaise and two smoked half-chicken. The chicken was excellent with a raspberry sauce which was pleasantly spicy. Accompanied by boiled potatoes and grilled vegetables, it was a very tasty meal. I took it with... More

My family and I stopped by Salida, CO looking for some good food on the way back to Utah. We parked in front of Shallots as it looked promising, but we weren't ready to eat just yet. We walked the town and had numerous confirmations from local shop owners that indeed, Shallots was the place. We ordered brunch and everything... More

I took my family here the Saturday night after Christmas around 5:30, well before the dinner rush. The bartender was a smartass and there were only 2 waitresses who couldn't keep up with a total of 4 tables (8 by the time we left). By the time dinner was done we had a laundry list of complaints. My boyfriend ordered... More

On a thrift shop adventure trip my friend and I happened upon Shallots. It was early and we were the only diners but the hostess gave us the window seat. The sandwich of the day was Hot Pastrami served with home made potato chips and crispy coleslaw. The sandwich came piled high with tender pastrami. The chips were delightful and... More

Their breakfast burrito was one of the best I've ever had (and I always order the breakfast burrito when I go out to breakfast). Their ingredients are fresh and the service is friendly and helpful. Shallots is a great restaurant! I went back a few days later to meet a friend for lunch and their Reuben was one of the... More

on a girls trip we visited several restaurants in salida, but our overall favorite was shallots. I had their harvest grain pancakes and they were to die for. I wish I could have gotten the recipe or brought some home to try to replicate them. another wonderful thing ordered at the table was their huevos rancheros. its been almost four... More

we had already eaten but its worth a stop just to try a custom hand made cocktail... think smoked whisky, home made maraschino cherries and 10 varieties off bitters. Worth the wait

Food not good. Fish over cooked, Shrimp drowned in a semi pesto sauce. Staff was very understanding, offed another meal. Chief personally came out and apologized. They offered free desert and a cocktail. We will try agin when we go back
