Amazing. We are still drooling as we talk about the food from Shallots. It's worth the 10+ drive! The food was incredible. We both got specials (Cajun snapper for him and Italian sausage pasta for me) and we cleaned our plates. We spoke with the chef and he was awesome. He even shared his process for cheese crisps and cilantro... More

We had dinner here and enjoyed the food immensely. The menu is not large but the two items we enjoyed were very good. The stuffed chicken Marsala was terrific. My husband had the pork taco appetizer and it was perfect and plenty for a meal. Nice bar here as well with some good beers on tap.

We were 2 couples dining at Shallots last evening for the first time. Two of us had the proscuitto wrapped scampi entre which we both pronounced 'very good.' I didn't remember the description very well, but when it arrived I was not so optimistic; it didn't look great. Four wrapped scampi in a bright green sauce with a lemon slice... More

We enjoyed an excellent mid-week dinner here. Chatted with one of the owners about the site and its history. She was very friendly and engaging. We ordered the Peppadevils as an appetizer, and they were delicious! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their dinner: reuben sandwiches were piled with meat and tasty, the spinach salad was beautifully-presented and every bite was great. Baked... More

Shallots came highly recommended from the locals with very good reason. The owners and the staff were remarkable. The food was to die for from the appetizers to dessert! Highly recommend the spinach salad - best salad EVER! - and the chicken marsala with goat cheese. YUM! The atmosphere was great and always busy every time we went by. Will... More

The food and drinks here are very good - however, it was a little pricey. My son loved his pot stickers, I had the red snapper and a salad which was excellent also.

We were looking forward to a lovely dinner, the restaurant wasn't crowded and the menu looked good. We ordered appetizers which came out in a timely manner and were good. Then we waited 40 minutes for our dinner salads which were so watery that we had to drain them onto a separate plate. The dressings were good though. Then we... More

We ordered the baked scampi, which was wrapped in provolone and prosciutto in a green olive oil sauce that was to die for. We also ordered the trout baked with pine nuts in a light bechemel...another winner. The vegetables were lightly steamed and had a cheese topping. There was also a spear of tomatoes, basil and baby mozzarella ball drizzled... More

We have now eaten at Shallots several times both dinner and lunch. The restaurant is in an older restored building. I love the environment. Locally owned with lots of variety on the menu. On our various visits the past couple of years we have sampled much of the menu. Lots of variety with original dishes sprinkled throughout. The bar menu... More
