Have a Bloody Mary and the Crispy Chicken Sandwich! Awesome service and nice patio 😎 This place is a gem. The floating fireplace is so cool.

Ok first off this isn't a fish restaurant but that is what I had and it was terrific. We were in Salida for a destination wedding for my niece, and were looking for a nice restaurant to eat at before the festivities started the next day. Salida is a bit of a touristy area. Walking around downtown we saw 2... More

Price is important for when I choose a restaurant. I lived for over 20 years in New York (Manhattan) where good food is the norm and often price doesn’t follow quality. We were happy to find Laughing Ladies a restaurant that delivered on its menu (and prices). We started with the Poblano Relleno and Hearts of Romaine. My wife ate... More

We recently dined here while on vacation in Salida. So good! Very slow to receive food, but that didn't bother us too much since the environment was laid back and comfortable while we waited. Chile rellenos were not our favorite but their burger and enchiladas were great.

It takes a lot to impress my husband, he usually is not into "restaurant food" at all. He had the chicken sandwich, and honestly declared it was the best he'd ever eaten. It was not greasy or overly full of dressings, just lots of interesting ingredients and very very fresh tasting. Likewise, I really liked their polenta salad. The polenta... More

My wife and I went to Salida for the annual art festival, which coincided with the summer brew fest. We had made reservations days earlier for a Saturday evening dinner at Laughing Ladies. The restaurant setting is comfortable, yet refined. Menu items from appetizers to salads to main dishes all have a creative signature. Although the menu is not lengthy,... More

Laughing Ladies is a culinary gem tucked away in Salida, Colorado. The level of care and creativity put into every dish is way above the norm compared to foodie establishments in a metropolitan area. It's such a delight to find food of this caliber in a small town. My husband and I shared the duck and mushroom egg rolls for... More

The food here was incredible. I live in Austin and have access to some pretty amazing restaurants but this might have been the best meal I've ever had. The chili stuffed with grits was hearty, gooey, tasty, with a nice kick. The goat cheese salad had a refreshing lemony dressing and great texture with the nuts and roasted red peppers.... More

Top quality seafood, steaks, lamb, chicken. All items are prepared to perfection. Seasonal local produce is treated with respect and love. We have been dining at LL for 10 years. The best restaurant in Salida & you won't find much argument about that--even other restaurant owners agree with LL's status.
