Good Food - Poor Service

The food was good, service was questionable and very few customers. We arrived around 6pm for dinner and found the restaurant almost empty. There was a party of four (us) and a party of two in the main dining area and a group of about 5 outside in back. These were the only customers during the... read more

Very, very good food here, for the most part. We had made a reservation in advance, and that was messed up, but we stopped by earlier in the day and re-booked for my wife's birthday dinner. Excellent local (Scanga meats) steak and killer giant pork chop, and a freshly made chile relleno appetizer that was made with polenta and seasoning... More

We are here while we were in town for a music festival. This restaurant was completely overwhelmed! We were seated pretty quickly and ordered but then it took more than an hour to get our food. We only orders salads, no cooking involved. The waitress apologized several times but never even brought us any bread or anything while we waited.... More

I tend to give restaurants in small towns a little more slack than in big cities, but when my bill almost touches $100 for two people with just one cup of soup, two dinners and two glasses of wine, you can expect the full treatment, good or bad... This restaurant is under new ownership as I learned by reading several... More

We have been coming here for a long time, more times than we can count. We knew there was a change in ownership but thought that it would be fine. It's really, really not. Something is more than off. The food is missing something, like flavor. If you are paying $100/couple it better be good, not simply sustainable food. We... More

My granddaughter and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner presented to us by a really delightful server. We ate on the shaded patio..were not rushed although the place was busy..ate large portions and still had time for dessert. Grandkid ordered a steak which she claimed was the "best ever" ate an enormous portion and fed the puppies at our Bed &... More

I have a business conference to attend in Boulder, Colorado starting tomorrow, same meeting every year on the same dates. Trouble is every year I miss spending time with my wife on Mothers' Day and her birthday a few days later, so this year Cate went with me to the conference, and on our way we had Mother's Day dinner... We stopped here on our way to our spring break ski trip. It was an unexpected treat!!!! My family of 7 enjoyed everything we ordered!! The eggs Benedict, salmon, pasta and mimosas were out of this world! We will definitely make it a stopping point on future trips.

When going to this restaurant expect different, delicious entrees served by gracious servers. They get their produce and other products from the local surrounding areas which only adds to the deliciousness of your meal.

We came during the week and kind of late, so we split an entree, the fried chicken breast, which came with mashed potatoes. Even though they are known for their honey chop (pork chop), we were sick of eating red meat. (I went back another night but they are closed on Monday and Tuesday.) Now I wished we had ordered...
