Nice dinner in Salida

Good food and drink in Salida. In the high season, a reservation is necessary. The servers are friendly and efficient. I recommend the establishment.

$10.00 dinner for $28.00! The special sounded GREAT when described by the waitress. It was ok. I could certainly have created the same dish for a fraction of the price.

We recently made our 3rd trip to the Laughing Ladies Restaurant following the change of ownership. It just isn't doing it for us! Our first attempt to eat at the "new" Laughing Ladies was over Valentine's Day when two-days of reservations (including ours) was lost from their automated reservation service. That may have been a blessing. Our second visit was... More

As noted above. Got the fried chicken with mashed potatoes & gravy. Was very bland. No flavors whatsoever !! $17.50 for just that !!??

Great food, friendly atmosphere and good service. Definitely would return. This came highly recommended by a gallery owner who seemed sort of classy and we were really happy we'd asked,. They had a good wine list and my seafood entree was quite good,

Laughing Ladies, likely known as the best restaurant in Central Colorado, underwent an ownership change several months ago. My husband and I have patiently waited for the new owners and staff to work out the kinks that inevitably come with transition. We have repeatedly decided to "give it one more chance..." But each chance is expensive and they have lost... More

We are foodies from California who were delighted to find such a high quality dinner on our drive through Colorado. We had the special of the night mahi mahi and the duck with sweet potatoes, both of which were outstanding. Beer and wine also very good.

We have given this place several chances and each time they fail. Our breakfast was disgusting and the service was terrible. We waited over an hour for food. We had to ask each time for a refill on coffee or water and had to ask at least twice. The food was so salty it was almost inedible. This was the... More

This place is under new ownership and instead of changing a bunch of stuff, the new owners really have maintained the character of the place and possibly taken the quality of the food up a notch. Brunches are amazing, lunch is really good and dinners are great. Better make a reservation though. Dinner tends to fill up.

Dinner at Laughing Lades was delicious - I had the special: Salmon and bacon wrapped scallops with asparagus and various sauces. The taste sensations in my mouth were amazing. My friend has the rib eye and said it was cooked ansd seasoned perfectly. The wine list was off the charts. The service was immpecable and the ambience was enchanting! I... More
