The tapas are incredible. I had duck tacos and they were the best I've ever had. My friend had a vegetarian starter and it was heavenly also. Mains portions are huge. Wine is fair to excellent. According to my friend, the pinot noir was amazing. The Malbec was a bit tart, but good. Will be back again.

You don't expect to find delicious food that is gourmet in presentation in an old west railroad town, but that was our experience here. We ate outdoors on the patio because inside was full of guys watching sports and it was loud. We will definitely visit this restaurant again.

On our first day in Salida, The Fritz caught my eye. Trendy, happening, and boasting a lovely patio strung with little lights overhead. When my mom and dad offered to take my family of six out for dinner last night, I went to scout it out. The menu looked fantastic, so we went for it. The eight of us slid... More

The Fritz from the outside seems to be just another watering hole with pub grub, not so, this place has some really fine food. This is not a cheesy fries kind of place - you can get house-made ravioli, Ahi tuna wonton, roasted beet salad and the list goes on. Check this place out - it's fit for foodies and... More

Great vibe. Music was perfect. Got a Bibb salad, Bacon Mac 'n Cheese, brussel sprouts and bacon wrapped dates (sense that we like bacon?). Everything was delicious and service was perfect. Sat towards the front with great view of park and evening light on the mountains.

we found ourselves in Salida because of a bike race closing the road, it was late at night and we were walking around to stretch our legs, we came across this place. What luck! We wanted a drink and a snack, I was a little more hungry and had the chicken with bacon potato, it was much better than I'd... More

Sitting outside, we had a relaxing meal of small plates and wine. The wine by the glass list is varied and what we ordered was very good. The grilled asparagus with prosciutto, the brown butter Brussels sprouts, the beet salad and the bone marrow plate were all extremely good. This was our third time there and the food and service... We stopped in on our way to Denver from Durango. The atmosphere was boring and warm. No fresh air. The back door was open and flies were coming in and out. The place has potential. The menu was simple. We had the burger of the day and the chicken/Brie Sandwich. Both were delicious! Bread on both the burger and sandwich... More

Salida is a fun place to visit, and there is a lot to do beside its Arkansas River. If you get hungry, you can hit The Fritz, a small joint on the riverside. While I found my portion size to be just right, my wife couldn't eat nearly all of hers. Service was quick and the wait staff was friendly.... More

We met some friends here for drinks at the bar and had a great time. The atmosphere was trendy, the drinks were great and our bartender was excellent. Unfortunately we had already eaten dinner and didn't get to try the food, but by the looks of the plates coming out, it looked awesome. We will definitely have to try the... More
