I spent a couple of weeks in Salida on business. I amazed at the quality of food in this small town. The fritz is right at the top of the list for that. Its is a small bar like restaurant. The food is diverse and really good. They have great burgers and also outstanding tapas,. You can get few small... More

Everything you can order here is great but we are partial to the Small Plates. There are always 3-4 specials in addition to the Seared Tuna, Seaweed Salad, Pulled Pork, Grilled Romaine Salad, Beet Salad, Real Macaroni and Cheese and the Wrapped delicious Dates. We always order at least four and settle in with wine to graze. The atmosphere is... More

We have eaten here several times since moving into the area. Consistency is key in any food business ( or non- food too!) and we have enjoyed everything we have ordered here. They are creative in their small plates and salads with their burgers being the only place I indulge. We have had some hit/miss service but mostly hit which... More

We stop by The Fritz once or twice a year when we drive between Durango and Denver. Consistently great and definitely the best food in Salida. Give The Fritz a try. Excellent!

Delicious small plates and tasty wine. When you want a casual meal in a beautiful setting near the river, this is the place to go. Food is creative, delicious and expertly prepared. Just the right size.

So nice to find an excellent restaurant for lunch when on a long road trip. This restaurant we thought better than many in Aspen. We all enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere. All was fresh, original and delicious.

Second time we've been here, and it was better than we remembered. Their small plates (tapas) is just the way we like to enjoy a meal out. Everything we tried was outstanding. Great little place in a great little town. We'll be back.

My wife and I decided to stop at the Fritz since we were intrigued by the TripAdvisor reviews and its high rating. We were not disappointed. The interior looks like your classic bar but the kitchen has elevated the food to an higher degree. We picked two small plates from the standard menu. The truffle fries were excellent and there... We were pleasantly surprised by the fresh and interesting menu choices. The service was good and the food was delicious! My only complaint was that it was terribly noisy. We want to try it again when the weather is warm and we can use the outside seating.
