Staff...great coffee and superb pastries. No wonder they were really busy in the middle of the week. Did I mention the friendly owner?

saw the happy hour information on a chalk board next to the register, so ordered based on the prices. found out it wasn't happy hour then. why not remove or change the chalk board? doesn't accept credit cards, only cash or check.

Just a block off of downtown's F street, Cafe Dawn is a great place to enjoy coffee, tea and cookies when shopping in Salida. This former garage and gas station has been renovated into a terrific indoor/outdoor spot. Check it out when you're visiting. The staff are super friendly too!

I get coffee here when I stay nearby. Good tasting coffee. The interior is a nice cozy coffee shop. People are friendly. I've had a muffin and breakfast burrito. Both good.

It is always a pleasure to visit Cafe Dawn for coffee, hot chocolate or tea. The cookies, pastries, quiches and brioches are not bad either. Dawn and Philip run a great little place in Salida.

Cute place. The coffee is excellent food is good but not prepared on site. It is homemade but heated in the microwave. The pastries were also very good. We would stop again just for the coffee.

Everything a local coffee cafe should be. I stop there whenever I'm in Salida. The coffee is STRONG and delicious and she even offers Stevia rather than the toxic non-suger sweetners of Starbucks and other coffee cafes. There's a nice selections of pastries and sandwiches as well and a wonderful posting board for local events.

Great coffee and bakery items and friendly staff! Healthy soups on the menu during the winter months.
