Fresh baked bread is really good!

BLT's were excellent on fresh baked sourdough. The green chili cheese dip wasn't what I expected but was also very good. We were too full for dessert but it looked excellent.

Fantastic service and Food. Owner is personally involved in the service and the food. Pies and treats are terrific. A very down home place and a great find.

We stopped here last year on our travels, and couldn't wait to stop again on our way this year! It's in an historic adobe building, and the inside feels historic, but still homey. We enjoyed visiting with other travelers as well as locals; everyone was so friendly! I ordered the huevos ranchero, same as last year! The eggs were cooked... More

Glad I hit the road slightly early and very slightly off track to grab breakfast here. Phenomenal home fries and good Mexican omelet in a cool old building.

This funky little place offers a great breakfast menu with a variety of choices and even some healthy options. You can also pick up some fresh-baked bread or pastries to take with you. Portions are generous and wait staff is friendly. Seems to be the place where the locals go, so you might even enjoy some interesting conversation with the... More

About six hours into my Colorado road trip I was hungry. Veered off into the sweet little Saguache historic district to forage for lunch. And found the diner. I rate a diner on the quality of its turkey sandwich. The one I received won the contest. Homemade multigrain bread. Good turkey. Lots of crunchy lettuce and veggies, mayo. Not too... More

Imagine plump, sweet cherries in a subtle, fruity sauce. Imagine the flakiest pie crust you have ever tasted, buttery crisp and delicious. This is what Esther baked for us yesterday morning and left still steaming on the counter for us to pick up as we drove home from Denver to Durango. The 4th Street Diner and Bakery in downtown Saguache,... More

We stumbled on this little gem while on a recent business trip. The food was delicious, and the homemade pie was 'over-the-top'!

My two sisters and I were driving back to Denver area from Durango a couple of years ago and we stopped at the 4th Street Diner. We have talked about it ever since because it was such a delightful experience. Wonderful home made food and a very pleasant cheerful atmosphere. We adored the staff! We are planning to stop again... My wife and I often travel through Saguache when going from our home near Durango to visit our grandkids (and their parents) in Louisville, CO. We used to pack a picnic lunch and stop at the park in Saguache. Now that we have found the 4th street diner the picnic lunches are a thing of the pass. This a nice,... More
