Great to see the Bridgewater reopened

Came online to post on a lovely meal I had with my Dad and son over a week ago at the newly opened Bridgewater. We had excellent food and great service although a little slow which I can forgive for a newly opened venue. My Dad had the turkey and was very pleased with it and I had a great... read more

Very happy to see it open again, as they are only open a week, I have to give it to the staff for their manners & enthusiasm. Of course, it will take a while to get firmly on its feet, but its certainly on its way to becoming one of the best pubs/restaurants in Sallins. Food was gorgeous, I had... More

Myself and my husband have popped in a couple of times since it re-opened after christmas, but never had food. Has a nice atmosphere very calm and relaxing with staff attentive & friendly. We heard they had started a food menu so myself and the rest of the family decided to pop in for some grub. Was a lovely experience... More

Was there today for a lunch. Was absolutely charmed by this place. Firstly, food is great. Portions are large, almost can't everything served. Everything is fresh and tasty. And most important, not expensive at all. Secondly, staff. Everyone are so friendly, and also efficient and professional. I will definitely return and recommend to all my friends.

I was delighted when I heard the Bridgewater was re-opening. My expectations were quite high considering the great experiences I have had there in the past. It did not disappoint, the staff were exceptionally friendly & couldn't do enough for us & the food was fantastic & really good value. I had the prawns pil pil which I would highly... More

Had a really horrible experience here and will never be returning. The establishment has just been re-opened after been closed for a few months. Myself and some friends went for some food on a midweek evening approx. 6pm, place was only occupied with a handful of people. My mains arrived not as I had asked; when the young waiter came... A quick dinner here of a vegetarian curry was pleasant enough. Mild enough curry with fresh vegetables added, well presented with rice and naan bread, and tasty. The menu is varied enough but nothing out of the ordinary from what you woudl expect in a pub. The staff were quite friendly and service was quick and pleasant. Given it was... More

Only getting around to this now, but myself and my family have been getting excellent service when visiting the Bridgewater for years now. They have changed the Menu available over the years but it is still really good, especially the Nachos :-) John is a consummate waiter, competent, attentive, discreet. He makes every visit a pleasure. Highly recommended.

We visited here recently and I was expecting a little better. Food was nice but we had better here before. The 50 euro for 2 courses and a bottle wine for 2 was a good deal however.
