Great lunch on sunny deck

Stopped for lunch mid day Sunday after hike to Monument Rock. Had the Burrito & Iced tea. Service was fast, pleasant & food surprisingly good? We'll be back !

These folks are quite nice. The concept for this restaurant was great; and old train station. I've been here several times over a period of 10 years. Each time I go, I tell myself I won't go back. But I eventually forget, and go back. The prices are fine, and there is plenty of seating. the windows overlook Palmer Lake... More

Fantastic food. The kids and big kids loved the trains. Service was great. I also found out this was a non-profit restaurant ran by the American Legion Post 9-11 volunteers. Great Job!!!!

I dislike places that charge you for everything extra- they should at least tell you there is an extra charge. Food was good but being charged for extra stuff is annoying especially when they don't tell you.

This is such a quaint restaurant. You get home cooked meals that taste great and are inexpensive. The staff is just a delight to speak to, very friendly and they provide great service. There is even a train the runs along a track up near the ceiling. They only serve breakfast on the weekends, but they have the best bacon... More

We were riding our Motorcycle through Palmer Lake last weekend, trying to avoid 1-25 traffic and ran across THE DEPOT, stopped in for lunch and the staff was all so friendly! They allowed us to sit where we wanted, so we took a window seat and was able to watch the Coal Trains go by outside. My husband ordered the... More

This place is run by American Legion volunteers for the Legion, and is a clean, inexpensive, local burgers-and-beer joint. (Their burgers are, however, rated highly in the Colorado Springs food reviews.) My rating of 4 is based on what the restaurant is trying to do - it's not the Broadmoor. Dinner is only served on Wed-Fri and Sunday nights. Home... More

Not sure why this place stays open...nothing you would want to eat here. Clearly no one in the kitchen has a clue.

The staff at this restaurant Is so incredibly friendly, making you feel warm and welcomed! The food is tasty home-style. Good folks eat here - you'll see mostly bikes and pickups in the parking lot.
