The Rose is walking distance from the The Springs Resort and was a fantastic recommendation from the hotel staff. Get there early for breakfast as the place is not large and fills up fast. we were lucky to just beat the crowd on Saturday morning. Old fashion breakfast at its finest and obviously where the locals eat!

This place is perfect for hikers and bikers; great breakfasts, wonderful service, very pleasant experience. Some have complained it's expensive but I found it's less expensive than I thought for a resort-y town. Worth the dough.

Home-made salsas, breads, and great cooking. Original artwork on the wall: very pleasant room with good food and a competent, friendly staff. Great breakfast find, and a good walk to/from The Springs.

Conveniently located across the river from the Springs. We walked from the Springs Resort for breakfast. The food was decent and average value, but the coffee was weak and disappointing. An upgrade there would make all the difference. Service was good. Seating is a bit tight.

The service was slow. The prices were on the higher side, but I guess that is normal for being in a resort area. The food and portions were fair to good. It's located off the main street and close to the springs and river.

I had breakfast at the rose in pagosa springs. I had the blueberry pancakes which were excellent. Very good food for little money.

A small little place in a tourist town, but wow, can they cook! The waitress was very nice and offered her suggestions. The food was served promptly and correctly. I ordered chicken-fried steak and it was perfect. The mashed potatoes and gravy were by far. the best I've ever eaten. The cook visited our table to inquire of our opinion,... More

We all had the chorizo breakfast burrito and it was just right! The coffee is also good and they serve it in big mugs that never seem to empty before it's being topped off.

Now.....its for the tourists only. How they can screw up eggs so badly is beyond me. The Hashbrowns were tasteless and the crisp bacon was like cardboard. If our overpriced breakfast is any indication of what to come, they we may see another set of new owners in the future. Good Luck!

How can you ruin oatmeal? By serving a bowl of liquid with oatmeal floating on it. We laughed and so did the server. Must be the cook's first day on the job. The server cherrfully brought scrambled eggs instead. My husband said his omlette was not good, and he will eat anything. The nice atmosphere brings them up to 3... More
