Good downtown meals

Had breakfast here recently with a friend. Good coffee - cup always filled. Eggs over easy were just right. The wood stove felt just right on a chilly morning.

My family went for breakfast and it is a very small place to eat. Not a lot of tables and it was very crowded. The food was ok but not something we would go out of our way to get.

It's a great little restaurant. There are several tables, but there was only 1 waitress. She was a rockstar, as all patrons seem to come at the same time! All of us enjoyed our food.

The Rose has replace the now defunct Elk Horn Cafe as my go-to breakfast spot when I visit The Springs Resort. I like a high calorie breakfast smothered in sausage gravy AND chile, and the Rose can provide that. On my last visit I had a chicken fried steak with hash browns, country gravy, biscuits and a side of red.... More

The Rose was recommended to us by a local as the best breakfast in Pagosa Springs. I can't say for sure if it is, but it was very good. It is cozy and cute inside, and the food is good. Some of the recipes are inventive, like the breakfast panini with egg, ham and apple. If you like New Mexico... More

Perfect place for good coffee and eggs, hash browns, pancakes, etc. The salsa was home made and I would recommend. I did not get to try the red or green chile. My Omelet was good, toast was perfect. I would suggest the wait staff be a bit more attentive to coffee refills.

We all loved the food! Service was fast and friendly, pancakes were fluffy, French toast was delicious, veggie omelette cooked to perfection. Great quality for the price!

Last stop before heading home. Had a great breakfast and enjoyed the atmosphere. Loved the way they had feathers made into snow flakes on the window. It added a nice touch of the wild wild west that I grew up with. Enjoyed Colorado hope to return someday.

We are locals and had to go "downtown" for some early morning business. We chose to stop at The Rose on advice from a friend who said that the place was great and was always packed. We were greeted promptly and could choose our own place to sit. There appeared to be only one waitress on staff and she was... More
