This small restaurant was ok. My tamale was one of the driest I have had in years. The enchilada and burrito were nothing to rave about. Service was average. Really not worth the effort to find the place.

We had the opportunity to enjoy some good Mexican food in a small little restaurant. The food was very good and served quickly. The price was reasonable. Service was friendly and on top of things. I would recommend this place and avoid the big franchise places.

Small place. Not the most friendly but the food was amazing! See my pics. I highly recommend the number nine - enchiladas suiza. Margaritas were pretty tasty also.

We ate at this place on a trip to pagosa springs and were left feeling a little disappointed. The best part was the margaritas the rest was just average. I've had much better in others but maybe this is the best for this area. Definitely would not return. The salsa was peppered with black pepper which I found strange.

Food was average; not much more than beans, rice, cheese and overly seasoned meat. More Tex-Mex style food than Mexican, which is too bad, being so close to New Mexico. The horchata, however, was good and they use a lot of green chilis. I would only recommend this restaurant if you're nearby, but would go out of the way to... More

This is hands down the best place to eat in Pagosa. I have eaten at many Mexican restaurants and there is not any other that compares to Chavolos. The food is awesome and the margaritas are the best! The service is great. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant!!

There were 10 of us and we were seated very quickly which was the high point of our dining experience! Waitor acted like he really didn't want to be there and had little to no wait staff experience (judging by level of service we received). JUST SKIP IT unless you're a local and they know you so inturn they give... More

Went here with some friends and got seated really quickly, but after we were seated it is like we stopped existing to them, they made orders wrong and were slow about refilling drinks and chips and salsa and I personally saw customers get up and leave because they were tired of waiting. I understand that it is holiday time, and... More

Very small establishment....had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. Was only like 10 tables available in the whole tiny place. When we finally got seated, it was near the door...actually all tables are near the door since it's so small. Every time someone came or went...the door open and everyone froze!!! Food was a bit on the pricey... More
