Fresh bakery cakes are superb

Just east of Pagosa the bakery is a charming cafe serving home made cakes, muffins and bread. The bran muffin was perfect moist and tasty. Excellent cappuccino and large burritos

Got their breakfast burrito and they add big charges for adding a small amount of their chorizo and green chile so that by the end it was a ten dollar breakfast burrito and the chorizo they advertise as locallly made was flavorless and not spicy at all. I also could find very little in the burrito besides eggs and undercooked... More

A great place for breakfast or just a morning break. The quiche was very good. Also the coffee and baked goods are very tasty. I'd go back there anytime.

WOW! The Pagosa Baking Company has gone through some changes and challenges (like a huge fire in 2012 that virtually shut down businesses for the summer), but they are definitely holding their own in terms of maintaining quality food and service over these past few years. They offer the BEST breakfast/lunch in town with homemade quiche, various breads/pastries, and the... More

We had heard great things and stopped for an early lunch. Housed in an old Victorian home, the Bakery is very attractive. But given the layout of the building, the site is not well-designed for a restaurant. Very busy, with traffic moving in all directions. The food was adequate, the service OK, not great. Will check it out again, when... More

Hello, Artemis, and thanks for visiting Pagosa Baking Company. I agree that the lay out of our building can make the ordering, seating and pick up process confusing. We have on order now signage to help make sense of the process and improve the flow. I hope you will try us out again in the future. Kathy Keyes Owner Pagosa... More

We ate at the Pagosa Springs Baking Company yesterday and it was so good we decided to go back this morning. I had a special order of scrambled eggs with chorizo smothered in green chili. Even though this was a special order, the staff at the counter was willing to accommodate my request. My husband had the breakfast burrito which... More

Hello and thank you for your review. Our goal is to make enough but not too much of each of our products, to run out by the end of each day. Sometimes it's hard to estimate correctly in our little tourist town! And I'm thrilled you like our croissants. We make them from scratch, laminating the dough, filling and baking... More

This is a little bakery in town with a lot of potential, but short on deliverance. We ordered three things: German chocolate cupcake, a slice of pecan pie and a slice of bing cherry pie. The cupcake was delicious, the pecan pie was burnt on the bottom of the crust and the bing cherry pie had a definite taste of... More

Thanks for your review, and so glad you loved our cupcake! About that pecan pie, I'm wondering if we overfilled the pie and some of the filling leaked into the pie tin. The molasses in the filling could definitely make the crust look & taste burned. I appreciate learning what needs to get fixed - thank you! Just want you... More

Went for breakfast due to the good reviews. Ordered 2 different kinds of quiches, 1 german chocolate cupcake, 1 oatmeal raisin cookie and a coffee. 1 quiche was blande but edible after lots of salt. 2nd quiche had the texture of chocolate creme pie..A mousse like consistency and was not edible. The oatmeal cookie was hard as a rock. The... More

Hi Ashley, I am so sorry you did not have a good experience here! I appreciate that you've taken the time to review, and given us an opportunity to improve. I have addressed your concerns about our food and customer service with our staff. We bake our cookies fresh several times a day and bake our quiche fresh every day.... More

We were there for spring break and needed a dessert for my son's birthday. We bought a cherry pie and some shamrock sugar cookies. Both were delicious! The restaurant was very busy the day we were there and the staff was very nice.
