Great food, but you'll be paying for it

We came here for dinner on my 30th birthday. We booked an outside table and got to sit right out front, beautiful view. We got a bottle of wine, appetiser & entree each and the bill came to about $200!! The food was great, and huge servings. I had the mussel soup and then a steak, he had the... read more

I loved their wine selection, although a bit over priced. My wife and I ordered a thin crust pizza - and boy was it thin and tasteless (the crust, that is). Probably as bad a pizza as I have ever eaten. My wife said hers was "fine". (She is always so polite) Out waitress was amazing. Quick, friendly, gracious, and... More

This has long been Pagosa's best fine dining establishment. You know a restaurant is good when there is almost no turn-over of employees and the same patrons have been going for years. The best place for date night, celebrating or even just a pizza and beer at the bar. Great outdoor seating in the summer. You'll want to call for... More

Had dinner here with friends recently. New waiter, Scott, was excellent. Great to see Chris, too. Food was good, but not excellent. My husband always gets the tuna and was disappointed. Lamb Chop special came out with wrong vegetable and it was corrected. Lamb chops were good, polenta, so-so. Beet salad was excellent. Sorry to see that the mussel dish... More

Overall it was very enjoyable. We sat outside and it had a very nice high class casual feel. My husbands steak was over done but they were very quick to fix it. It was a splurge for us at $160 for two people (appetizer, 2 entrees, no alcohol) but I would go there again for a special occasion. Our server,... More

My friend and I were visiting Pagosa Springs for a few days and looked on Tripadvisor for a restaurant. Alley House Grill came up as #1 and after eating there I couldn't agree more! Great wait staff! Great patio! Great drinks.....the Cosmopolitan was divine! And so were the desert drinks! Loved the Beet Salad! And the Ahi Tuna! A real... More

We went to the Alley House on Wed June 24th. We were setting promptly, That's where it went down hill. It was 1 hour and 15 minutes from the time we were seated until our meal was served. The sloppily dressed general manager and a current or former waitress were sitting at the table next to us drinking wine. Two... More

We had a group of five enjoyed several appetizers and main courses--the fish was excellent. The customer service was excellent--friendly and helpful. For example, the bottle of wine that I ordered first wasn't available and my second choice was a little more expensive but without a comment from me they sold it at the same price as the one that... Outstanding service and very artistic and well portioned meals. I had the seared ahi and it was wonderful! Wine selection is very reasonable and extensive for a small town.

What more could be added to these reviews. The Alley House is by far one of the greats in southwest Colorado. Definitely the best meal we had on our upscale Four Corners road trip. With top notch service, a decent wine list and varied menu you’re sure to be quite pleased from appetizer through to dessert.
