Over the past six months I've spent a lot of time in the Ridgway/Ouray area on business so for variety I've tried some of the restaurants that I normally do not visit just to see what they are like. All of the other restaurants in town were busy that night but the Silver Nugget was almost empty. But we decided... More

If you are looking for a quaint cafe with a the feel of the mountains stop here. We stopped on our way home for a quick lunch and while there we had a great sandwich and a good talk with the staff. Thanks for both.

We had breakfast here. The owner is a pleasent man with nice stories about his travels etc. The food was very good. The atmosphere is very small town and relaxed.

It was a late supper and began at 8:30 on a cold winter night. All other bar and grilles in Ouray were packed with activity. We walked that one extra block to see how busy the Silver Nugget would be. Through the window we could see that there were three tables taken. A spot for a quick bite is what... More

I ordered the turkey vegetable soup with biscuits. It was fresh made with an organic turkey. It had carrots, potatoes, onions, celery, and a little bacon which was a delicious surprise. The biscuits were very light. I topped it off with apple pie. The apples were slightly tart with the sweet; my favorite way. I can't stand pie that is... More

We often come to Ouray for a quick overnight get away as we live just an hour away. The Silver Nugget has always been our choice for breakfast. The owner, sporting a cowboy hat, shorts (in the summer) and apron is always present helping give the place a relaxed mountain town ambiance. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. We... More

We went there with a party of 4. The menu had about a fourth of the options you see at a regular breakfast place. They didn't get to us for about 20 minutes to get our drinks, and the coffee was as weak as it gets. Our waiter asked our order without writing it down, and came back multiple times... More

We ate breakfast because the other place in town was mobbed. Service was slow to almost non-existent. Food was average, but expensive. Won't go back there again.

Find it funny that they use a tumble weed for a decoration, and here in NM we fight to get rid of millions of them.! Great food with great street views of the town and mountains. Spot that the locals love.

The Eggs Benedict there are incredible! We had them this morning and I'm going back tomorrow. Not sure where my wife's eating, but I know where I am. Service was a bit sketchy. Opening time was definitely not posted or even true to rumor. Late opening by 10 minutes and no apology.
