We were traveling through southwestern Colorado tracing a trip we took 35 years ago. One stop was the little town of Ouray close to the spectacular San Juan mountain range. What an unexpected surprise was the Beaumont Grill. Chef Curtis has been there for only 9 months but has revitalized the old Ore Restaurant with a new menu. We started... More

Beaumont was recommended by a few people so we tried it and loved it. The chef, CRaig, came out to talk with us, and wow, what a talented cook he is. I had the roast chicken with mushroom risotto and it was to die for.

Didn't feel at all like a "hotel" restaurant. Historic ambiance. Gourmet prepartion but down to earth staff. Casual and elegant. Wide variety. Small room but big service and expertly prepared food.

We ate here two nights in row. They are a definite cut above the bar food found in most of the other restaurants in town. The same food would cost twice as much in Telluride and there would be a one-hour wait. A real Ouray gem.

I love their salads, nice presentation and really good - everything fresh. I also love their wines by the glass. Their wine cellar is pretty impressive.

We came here for a romantic evening. The ambience was absolutely great and had great service! The staff was very friendly and we were the only ones there for the longest time so all that was great. The food was where the place was lacking. They had quite a few specialty dishes which were wonderful, the appetizers. The main meals... More

we shared a nice salad and both had Bison burgers. Delicious and amazing, fresh crusty bread. It was the perfect sandwich after a long day of site seeing. Our watress was nice and professional. We ate in the smaller restaurant which I think was called the Ore House. The deserts looked good but we were too full. Kind of expensive... More

Excellent and friendly service, top-notch fare. Best selection of wines around. In particular, the rib eyes were ample, tender, and very flavorful, veggies very good, pumpkin spice creme brulee savory and yummy. Only downer - French onion soup far too salty. This restaurant has been formerly known as the Ore House and the Bistro - it's in the historic and... More

I ate here one night late in the season, after eating at a couple of other restaurants in town. The service was very good and the food was good, but I would not rate the restaurant as excellent. The menu is limited and they seemed to cater to older, well to do clientele.

The food was great but the service was extremely slow. Possibly due to a wedding. Nice atmosphere and worth a tour of the hotel.
