Nice friendly place

They have a good selection of Belgium beers. The owner is from Europe and is very friendly and a great cook. They have a nice outdoor deck or eat in the old saloon. Give them a try..

Had to rate it with stars just to say that the restaurant is no loner in business. They are only open for special events through prior arrangement. The Western Hotel and San Juan Jeep Tours are owned by Greg Peipper. He told us that those two businesses were enough to keep him busy so the restaurant closed. Try the Outlaw... More

The 1891 hotel is stunning. There is a banquet room and a saloon. There is also a large deck with mountain views. The food is excellent. You can order just about anything for a reception. The wedding party can rent the hotel rooms for a stay or as a place to ready them selves. They do many wedding and corporate... More

June 29th - Had to give a rating to be able to give a description. Called The Saloon to make a reservation, but was informed that the restaurant is closed except for special events like weddings and such.

We visited the hotel restaurant twice during our stay in Ouray. The lasagna was very good, the salad was good, but the pizza had very little flavor. Staff was friendly and provided good service.

I recommend this restaurant for a good change of pace if you are in Ouray. I liked eating in an authentic building with lots of ambience. The food was good and reasonably priced for a tourist town. My husband and I both had burgers which were delicious. A couple nearby had the steak and they were very pleased with their... More

Great elk !! We shared the elk and buffalo. The elk was superior! Great service, friendly and timely. If you are in Ouray go to the restaurant at the Historic Western Hotel.

Off of main street and it doesn't have "brewery" in the name so it is a bit off the radar in Ouray. Trout is very good, miners steak is good too. Feels like a real western saloon rather than the made up ones on Main St.

Great Margaritas! The Saloon was jam-packed likely due to the great food. I had pizza, and wish I had gotten the large size, because it was so yummy! My husband had the lamb burger, and he ordered that the second night when we ate in the Saloon. The food and service did not disappoint! Reasonably priced too.

We sat at the bar and talked to Adam. Got some suggestions on what to see and do. Had great local red brew called 2 rascals and a really good trout dinner. Love the painting on the bar room floor and the charming atmosphere. It's not on the Main drag so it's a bit quieter and you can totally travel... More
