We sat at the bar and talked to Adam. Got some suggestions on what to see and do. Had great local red brew called 2 rascals and a really good trout dinner. Love the painting on the bar room floor and the charming atmosphere. It's not on the Main drag so it's a bit quieter and you can totally travel... More

Went here at end of jeep trip from this hotel. Service was great by one single lady:). Creme brûlée was great too. Eating outside was an added treat with great views!

Our tour group, had breakfast and dinner at this establishment. We enjoyed our meals and the character of the building. The people who worked there were very nice and helpful. I'd go back.

The Western Hotel is a working hotel with a old time saloon and rooms decorated in 1890's styles. Our meal was in a room with a buffalo head and fancy wallpaper. The food was excellent. The margaritas lived up to their claim that they are the best in the west. But it is the atmosphere that makes the evening memorable.... More

We ate dinner here recently while vacationing in Ouray. Three of us had the steak which was amazing, one had trout, and one had a chicken salad and another the chicken sandwich. Highly recommend it! The margaritas were also superb. The service was a little slow and they ran out of their specials right after they served us. But we... More

We had done a jeep tour with them earlier in the day and that was great!! So we stopped in for dinner, we got the Pizza which was pretty tasty. A thinner crust than I normally like but it was flavorful and priced right. We also tried the Peach Cobbler and I loved it! I have had cobbler in other... More

The staff here are wonderful!! Dinner at the restaurant was really delicious. They have preserved a special place. (Didn't like the dead animals on the walls but I suppose it is very 'western'.

Old historic hotel and restaurant, we ate dinner here while visiting friends who are founding townspeople of Ouray. From trout, to steak, to pizza and chicken fried steak, everyone enjoyed their meals! The margaritas are as advertised, I loved mine. My friends tell me John Wayne ate here while filming "True Grit" in 1968. We had creme brulee for dessert... More

An enjoyable place for a nice meal. We had pizzas, but the adjoining diners all seemed to be enjoying their meals as well. Evan though the interior if the Western Saloon is worth a visit on its own,you will want to sit outside on the deck. Just don't forget the Margaritas!!!

We stopped after walking around town for a nightcap on our recent trip. The bartender (Aaron?) was very friendly and we enjoyed chatting with him. He asked us our dinner plans for the rest of our stay and invited us back for dinner the next night. We took him up on the offer and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. We started... More
