Reuben in paradise

Since we traveled with our pet, we had to use the take out. Tried the corned beef "reuben" which was an unusual find in this neck of the woods. It was so good, we did it again the second night of our stay.

We were heading back to Montrose for dinner after a day of chasing fall color, and settled in on the outside patio for a Guinness. We decided to share a small appetizer, and chose the egg rolls stuffed with corned beef and cabbage, with hot mustard for dipping. It was outstanding!

Good food, friendly service ... seems to be a locals place which is usually a good thing. Try the stew ... Excellent.

Our food was awful, nobody came to apologize, nobody offered to adjust our bill, we paid and left very disappointed, and won't be going back. We had ordered two Tomato Basil Soup's, a Fried Egg Roll, and a Grilled Cheese Sandwich. The Soup was so salty, neither one of us could eat it. The Fried Egg Roll was cut into... More

Busy or not, this place is a MUST when in Ouray!! We all loved our food choices, and the quality of service. Late night dining for this mountain town, and excellent bar! Shepherds Pie, Fish n Chips, Burgers, and more!! We loved this place so much, we ate there twice during our stay in Ouray!!

We had fish and chips on the patio. Fish was good, chips plentiful. I asked to substitute a salad for the chips but against the owner's policy. Odd. So ordered a side salad - also good. Our waitress was very attentive but gave us plenty of space. She earned her tip :)

We were in the mood for comfort food and O'Brien's was the perfect choice! The food is really hearty , tasty, and affordable. I had the shepherd's pie and my husband had the Guinness beef stew. We decided we liked the pie best but the stew was good, too- Very much like what we make at home. The atmosphere is... More

Cool place with superior food, ate two evening meals there. They serve some super Irish dishes with huge beer selection.

We have eaten at O'Brien's at least once a year for many years in a row. Great food. Reasonable prices and, depending on who they hired on any particular year, the servers are typically very good. Great place to recover from a day's ice-climbing or banging around the back-country.

Thank Robert M
