Everyday Mexican Dining, Nothing Special

I was with a group of 15 people on a Saturday midday. Our table was quickly setup and we were seated quickly. The waitress was prompt and had our orders taken without error. My wife and I periodically eat at the Morrison Inn. It has consistently been a fun and lively place to eat and to have drinks with friends. The service was excellent and the food is good. The place is still the same as it was many years ago.

My sister in law raved about the gigantic margarita (32 oz) and WOW! Was great, as was the super nachos. I would've given 5 stars, but the chips we got at the beginning were out of a bag, not home-made like I'm used to at Mexican restaurants. We also asked for a booth, which seemed to tork off the hostess.

My boyfriend and I had lunch at the Morrison Inn after a hike one weekend. It has such a great laid-back atmosphere and awesome margaritas. We loved sitting outside on their roof top deck soaking up the sun. We could not have been more happy!

The Inn & great margaritas have been Golden/Red Rocks standards for many years, deservedly. Since it can be a ZOO AT TIMES because crowds are crowds, service isn't always impeccable, but it's difficult to serve a zillion thirsty concert pre-gamers! Visit when the crowd is more laid back and so is the Inn. Very good food, great drinks, great location.

Good food, attentive service staff and the usual tacky decor. Good place for a quick lunch or dinner.

We drove up here from Denver while visiting for Christmas. The snow in the mountains made for a very pretty drive. The vibe in the restaurant is laid back and cool. Salsa was nice and spicy - but not too much. Queso dip was a hit with our family. Margaritas were really good. I had tamales and they were awesome:... More

As a Texan who recently moved here, this is not Tex-Mex! This place should be turned into a bbq joint/bar because the shredded beef was good. Queso was thick & solidified after dipping one chip. The salsa, what is that??? It taste like pace picante & a can of enchilada sauce, which both of those are a no-no. Will not... More

Food was mediocre and barely warm in one case. Service was great but portions were small. Overall a pretty steep decline from what once was a great Mexican restaurant.
