Red Rocks Dinner stop

I love this place. Always good food, drinks, great staff, and a little live music to go along with dinner. Tips: ask to sit outside. You will be pleasantly surprised. They have 2 bars and outside seating on their rooftop deck. Bonus: live music and tons of seating. Next time you visit Red Rocks... read more

Ok... so this was an unexpected experience! We were going to a concert at Red Rocks (Peter Frampton & Cheap Trick... the trick was Frampton was sick and didn't show up) I told my relatives to meet us in front of Morrison Inn. When we got their I couldn't find them... they had gone inside and were eating and having... More

This is a super hoppin place with an awesome atmosphere and a great patio. Don't let that fool you. Although the staff is very friendly and great to chat with, the food is awful and margaritas hard to swallow. The food is the worst attempt at Mexican food I have ever seen, maybe people in Colorado don't know what good... More

I've been to the Morrison Inn a handful times over the course of about 20 years or so... and, although the food has always been less than average, it was a nostalgia thing... It's been around for a very long time. Well, not sure what happened, but went last night and the food was AWFUL. I mean, really, really bad.... More

this used to be a very good mexican food restaurant with great management.. The past owner retired and the new management has turn it into more of a bar. Food is average. The best thing at the Morrison inn are their margaritas. not so much a family place anymore.

My wife and I periodically eat at the Morrison Inn. It has consistently been a fun and lively place to eat and to have drinks with friends. The service was excellent and the food is good. The place is still the same as it was many years ago.

I was with a group of 15 people on a Saturday midday. Our table was quickly setup and we were seated quickly. The waitress was prompt and had our orders taken without error. Service was good all around...correct drinks...correct dishes and individual checks, all handled without fuss or mistakes. The food was pretty standard, nothing outstanding, nothing terrible. The Morrison... More

My sister in law raved about the gigantic margarita (32 oz) and WOW! Was great, as was the super nachos. I would've given 5 stars, but the chips we got at the beginning were out of a bag, not home-made like I'm used to at Mexican restaurants. We also asked for a booth, which seemed to tork off the hostess.

My boyfriend and I had lunch at the Morrison Inn after a hike one weekend. It has such a great laid-back atmosphere and awesome margaritas. We loved sitting outside on their roof top deck soaking up the sun. We could not have been more happy!

The Inn & great margaritas have been Golden/Red Rocks standards for many years, deservedly. Since it can be a ZOO AT TIMES because crowds are crowds, service isn't always impeccable, but it's difficult to serve a zillion thirsty concert pre-gamers! Visit when the crowd is more laid back and so is the Inn. Very good food, great drinks, great location.
