Balsamic Dressing

My wife and I enjoyed a delicious and nostalgic lunch here...She used to come here years ago when visiting her grandparents. I had a really good Reuben, but it was the balsamic dressing on the side salad that was exceptional. They need to bottle that up and sell it! My wife's chicken salad sandwich... read more

You can get a hearty breakfast and lunch here for a reasonable cost. Excellent baked goods and their soups are delicious! Their breads are excellent!

Good place to go when downtown for breakfast (served all day) or lunch. Everything is fresh & pretty much to order. Some may not like the self serve but it is rather homey. Always smells wonderful. Only disappointment I have ever had is that the homemade jam/jelly is too watery.

Landed at Montrose airport hungry. Staff at the Hertz counter recommended this cafe for a hearty lunch. Right off Main street, this modest cafe offers comfort food and a warm reception. We had huevos rancheros and a tuna grill on bullseye rye. Also, an elephant ear found its way onto the table. The side salad greens were fantastic. Highly suggest... More

Stopped in for breakfast on the way to airport after 3 days of skiing. Amazing breakfast (eggs, potatoes, veggies and toast) with unique, organic and eco-friendly touches such as homemade fruit compote in re-usable containers. A pleasant surprise to find such a great place by chance. Highly recommended.

Cute old fashioned restaurant, with a back in the day feel. Our breakfast, eggs, pancakes, and bacon, was made to order and was huge. The pancakes filled the whole plate. The service was great and the food was organic and made on the spot, and it didn't take long at all. You order and pay at the counter, seat yourself and... More

We stopped in for a bowl of oatmeal to start our day. It came with either raisins or nuts, a carton of low fat milk, and two pieces of their bakery bread. i thought it a bit pricey at $7 a bowl. They have various egg dishes and an array of pastries.

We came for breakfast based on other members' reviews and were very happy that we did. I was really impressed with the skillet breakfast that, along with the usual ham and potatoes, had a range of vegetables as well. Of course the bread is great, it is a bakery also! Although we did not try them, the cakes and pastries... More

This is the second time we have eaten here, both times a great experience. This is not a fancy place more like what you would find in the 60's. I ordered hash browns with eggs over medium, bacon, smothered in green chili. This wasn't on the menu, no problem. Great food and friendly staff.
