We never pass through Montrose without stopping at this wonderfully charming place. Family owned and operated for over 20 years they have great breakfasts, lunches, as well as breads and desserts! Mostly locals seem to frequent this establishment. It's in-town location sometimes makes finding a close parking spot difficult... But it is well worth the trouble to find this local... More

We walked into this restaurant and were confused. There were tables as if you should sit down and order, but we noticed people standing at the counter ordering. We ordered at the counter, and were told to get our own coffee and silverware. It was home cooking with a fast food feel to it. My wife enjoyed her eggs, bacon... More

We arrived at about 2:00 on a Wednesday, and they were out of a few of the menu board items. I had a chef salad and my husband had a Reuben. My salad was just o.k., and it gave me intestinal distress within an hour of eating it. The Reuben was o.k., but nothing special. He ordered a side of... More

Based on TripAdvisor rankings my wife and I decided to try this place to get sandwiches for a picnic lunch in the Black Canyon National Park. Unfortunately, for some reason they were closed for the July 12, 13 weekend (just a closed sign on the door with no explanation). So we went across the street to Great Harvest Bread Company--which... The Lead-Up Was in Montrose two nights for work and found this place due to the breakfast at my hotel being completely unacceptable (oatmeal was of a consistency that can't be described; "eggs" were like pre-formed hamburgers with a taste that can only be described as revolting). Considering that breakfast is a really important meal for all in general and... More

We spent 2 days in the Montrose area and had breakfast there each morning and lunch to go. Staff could not have been more friendly and accomodating. Food was delicious. Breakfast time we ordered sandwiches & salad for lunch. They packed it up for us. I highly recommends this restaurant.

While appearance is not impressive, after eating 4 different sandwiches our party of 4 was so glad we picked this spot to eat. Very good deli sandwich, grilled ham & cheese, grilled turkey, Philly cheesesteak, AND butternut squash bisque soup. We'll come back next time passing through town.

The friendly staff created a great picnic lunch for us to take on our ride to the Black Canyon Monument. The chicken salad and turkey sandwiches were very tasty, served with a good choice of sides and pickles. They had fresh three grain rolls and a tasty assortment of desert treats. I had the brownie which was great.

We had breakfast at the Daily Bread bakery & cafe. I did have a standard breakfast (eggs, toast, pancakes, sausages, bacon) and it was delicious. What we liked most was the atmosphere there, not very touristy (except for us :-)). We could've sat there for ages just seeing people come and go. A nice start into the morning.

So glad we found this little nugget. The ladies running this place are very talented in tasking standard menu items and making them delicious. And the homemade breads are worth waiting for. A true local establishment thats a must!
