Owner Ted Nelson makes each customer feel so very special by stopping at your table & checking if all is okay or if you need anything! What a nice warm feeling one has at this restaurant! He also removes finished plates, pours more coffee, & answers any questions! Walleye is on the menu ( not a "local" fish & he... More

We had a really nice dinner at Ted Nelson's Steakhouse this weekend. Our friends raved about the Colorado lamb chop special, and we really liked Ted's marinated sirloin and the burger. Topping off the dinner was a complimentary small dessert. Such a nice touch. Ted personally greeted us and checked to be sure our dinners were satisfactory. The service was... More

We arrived at closing time for the restaurant and they seated us anyway. We both had steaks which were cooked to perfection. The sides and salads were very good. The owner talked with us and then sent a dessert to our table.

This restaurant was only steps away from our hotel (Red Arrow Inn) and got good reviews here on Tripadvisor, so we were happy to go there. We were not disappointed: although the opening times are rather restricted (last calls at 9.30 pm) they were flexible. We had some nice starters and great main courses, plus a good wine from the... For a small town, this was a pretty good place to eat. Salad was interesting and good, bread very tasty, and the Prime Rib was very good. Pleasantly surprised. At 5:45 easy to get a table, by 6:30 the place was packed. I guess the locals know a good deal.

The food wasn't bad here but not what you would expect at a steakhouse. I had the prime rib sandwich and it was tender but didn't have what I would call prime rib flavor. The service was friendly and attentive

I had the ribs and enjoyed them very much. Service was a little bit slow, but friendly and courteous. Quick to take empty plates but not so quick on beverage refills. Quaint. Not overly loud and they were pretty busy. Full selection of cocktails and wine or beer if you choose.

The prices were reasonable and the food okay. For a steakhouse I expected a little more in the way of quality food.

Ted Nelson's had been recommended to us by some friends and by the staff where we were staying. Very much worth the time & money! We sat in the bar & we were greeted by a very nice & informative bartender. Had the marinated steak... AWESOME! I was most impressed by Ted. I have NEVER seen an owner so attentive... More
