Lovely restaurant and kindly staff. the meals are a good size and include a side of salad or soup. The steak was a winner, it had a beautiful marinade and was a text book medium rare as requested.

I wanted to give 3.5 stars but that wasn't an option. When Tripadvisors gives you a number one rating expectations are high.... Our waitress failed to mention the specials. It was a hot day in Montrose and I don't think the evaporative cooler could keep up. I'll admit I'm not a big steak guy. I had the marinated steak and... More

We asked our hotel owner where to eat in Montrose and he recommended Ted Nelson's. We were extremely happy with the meal we had. The stak was done to perfection, the sale and sides were great and so was the wine selection. The owner not only seated us, but also checked on us during and after the meal. The portions... More

Amazing selection of steaks. Between the prime rib and filet none of us could move away from the table let alone try and venture out for the rest of the evening. Our waitress was polite and informative of the selections on the menu and shared with us her favorites. We were so stuffed we didn't order desserts but she brought... More

Based upon the motel proprietor's recommendation, we walked to this steak house. We had a couple of draft beers to whet our palate. We each had the marinaded sirloin and it was excellent. It was accompanied by a nice salad upon which I had their bleu cheese vinagrette dressing. Choice of potato, nice vegetable medley, and bread. Everything was excellent.... More

Service: 10 out of 10 The owner checked on me personally at least 3 times during my 1 hour dinner. My waitress went above and beyond by going off the menu to accommodate my particular request. Food: 8 out of 10 Ordered a house salad and it was...a house salad, so far, so good. The sirloin steak was marinated -... More

The owner greeted us with a friendly welcome. That was the start to a delightful lunch. I had investigated several choices at TripAdvisor since our favorite had closed many months ago. Ted's is by far an outstanding place to eat. The menu has a wonderful variety for lunch. I had the Monte Carlo. It is rare to find one prepared... More

Ted's never fails. We usually dine with a small group of friends, 6-8 people and everyone leaves with a good feeling. The staff is all smiles and they know their stuff. Most of us had the surf and turf last week and it was GREAT! never over seasoned, quality meat, delicious healthy, fresh salad, freshly baked break, quick with the... More
