I have worked at the red barn for years as a baker and a server. Now, thanks to all the people who gave up on us with the new owners, we are closing. :( I will miss you all.

Very mundane food. Seems popular with hamburger-fish&chips type appetites but I find it tasteless and boring.

I've never left a review for any restaurant but I do not want travelers to make the same mistake we made while in Montrose. The empty restaurant at 6:30pm on a Saturday night should have been the first sign that this was not a good place to eat. We ordered appetizers but our utensils and napkins were not brought out... The Red Barn needs an update in atmosphere and menu options. The service is friendly and the food is okay but there is nothing about either that would keep you coming back when there are restaurants nearby with better food and ombiance for comparable prices.

Rustic atmosphere with an old fashion appeal. Local restaurant and lounge where John Wayne, Glenn Campbell and other cast members hung out while shooting the movie True Grit. Under new management but has the same service and good food.

At least when Chuck owned the red barn. The food was good. Now it is so bad we have tried it 3 to 4 times giving the new owners a chance no more. Last night was the last straw we took out of town friends there and the food was terrible. The Prime rib was so tough you could not... More

We have been going to the Red Barn for 38 years and were very disappointed to see how far it had gone down hill since it has changed hands. The rolls were cheap from the store, the baked potato wasn't done, the prime rib looked like it had been cooked in a microwave, we had to ask for butter for... More

Stopped in for a light dinner- cheeseburger, cole slaw and ice tea. Burger tasted good, the ice tea was fresh, but the portion of coleslaw was minuscule. Service was good. All in all, an average meal.

I went here for dinner midweek about 3:30 PM and was the only guest. The huge plastic cow outside and menu indicating all beef is raised in Sterling, CO and is upper choice or prime and aged a minimum of 21 days convinced me to order an 8 oz. ribeye steak. When ordering a quality piece of meat I want... More

Got a recommendation from a local. Tried it out and yes, it was good. Glad we stopped there. Would eat there again.
