Try the Wine Bar in the basement--more casual, more fun!

This is a nice place to chill and take a break from the touristy street. We stopped in after lunch for a glass (or two) of wine. The Happy Hour price of $5/glass is enticing and the basement atmosphere is cool. We weren't up for food since we had just eaten, but the Happy Hour food prices were... read more

A new twist on the traditional Sterno-fueled fondue with an electric burner. Works great. Take your time at this dinner in a romantic old Manitou house. You won't be doing this all the time, but for a special occasion you won't be disappointed.

We love fondue and decided to revisit this favorite restaurant for a special occasion. We had forgotten the tiny dining rooms on the second floor allowing us to dine alone for most of our Sunday evening escape. Joel, our knowledgeable and friendly waiter, reintroduced us to their excellent wine list, from which we chose a 2008 Barbaresco which was delicious.... More

Worst experience for new years!!! If you want to pay 120$ for 4 shrimp and a small lobster tail and a couple of pieces of fish BETWEEN TWO PEOPLE then please throw your money away. Food is mediocre at best and they ripped off the fontina fondue recipe from La Baguette. The staff was very rude and lied about the... More

First time at Mona Lisa's yesterday evening for New Years Eve. What a disappointing experience. I would like to mention our waiter was a delight. He was very nice, had a lot of energy and seemed to know what he was doing. The kitchen however, was another story. The first course was a Cesar salad that was server warm with... More

Our waiter, Sam, was outstanding. Very informative, explained the process and menu and wine menu very well. We were there with a couple from out of town for a special meal. I would say the value for the meat is ok; we each got the Fondu for 2 which is 5 courses (I think) and we shared however I walked... More

First I want to say we are big fans of the Mona Lisa restaurant. We've always enjoyed our meal and the old world environment in Manitou Springs Co. One of the best aspects of the experienced is you are not rushed. A typical dinner can be 2 hrs and very relaxing with a unique venue and good service. However, a... More

We just had a cheese fondue- what's not to like about melted cheese? We are light eaters so one order was enough for both. Descent wine by the glass and a very cosy setting with a cluster of small rooms lit very nicely, and I'm a lighting snob. Very enjoyable. I'd return.

My wife and I stopped in the downstairs part of Mona Lisa's on a Sunday evening and were pleasantly surprised. The fondues were served already hot (both the cheese and chocolate) and there was very little waiting. The house wines were acceptable, and the serving sizes were more than enough for the two of us. The setting was quiet and... More

Not a good experience. In no way worth the money. Portion size is really 1 inch x 1 inch cut pieces of meat (3) pieces; and you have to do the cooking. We were there over 4 hours. My bill for two was over $100. + The menus are very deceptive and the waitresses doesn't clearly explain what you will... More
