Consistently excellent

The Mona Lisa Fondue Restaurant is consistently excellent. We generally go there three or four times a year. For us it is a 15-minute drive from our home. Manitou Springs is a funky town. The restaurant's atmosphere is romantic, which in this case means be sure your phone has a flashlight so that... read more

This is a really nice place to take a date for fondue and wine or a drink. We had supper here and were happy with the quality of the food (everything is fresh), but we were left thinking that if we were to do it again we's get (2) pots of the fondue cheese and couple of bottles of wine... More

What a refreshing escape from chain restaurants!! The Mona is in an old hotel from the 1800s and the moment you walk in, you feel like you've stepped into a romantic movie scene with sidewalk cafes, romantic lights, and cozy tables tucked here and there throughout the restaurant. The decor is eclectic and fun. It's not a snooty fine dining... More

My fiance' and I have been to Mona Lisa twice and both visits were equally enjoyable. On our first visit, we ordered the four course dinner. I ordered the seasonal salad, which included a pumpkin/jalapeno dressing. Considering the other options were familiar, I decided to try something new. This salad did not disappoint and certainly set the tone for a... More

Went to a Wine Tasting this evening. Great time. Four great wines, and cheese fondue to go along. The owners where very friendly and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Have loved this place for 20 years for Fondue dinners and now will enjoy their wine tastings. Have tried many fondue restaurants and this is by the best one we... More

4 of us had planned this as one of our special meals while on vacation in the area and were not disappointed in the least. Low key (i.e., non-interruptive but somehow attentive) service in a kitschy environment with lots of art, kick knacks, etc. Food and wines were exceptional!

What an experience. I ordered 4 course fondue. First one and second one was fine, but the third one I had to grill myself. I had wild things fondue, which is basicly: wild fish, bison meat, elk meat, wild duck meat and wild boar sausage. Delicious. Don't miss the desert, we had original chocolate.

We just happened upon this spot walking by. It's in a basement which adds to the aura. Very quaint. Good wine and fondue for dinner.

I had the pleasure of eating at the Mona Lisa last night. I have eaten at other fondue restaurants but this one topped them all. The service was excellent, food choices good and the overall experience was very good. There were five of us in the group and we had our own little room which was very nice. The four... More
