I will never forget my favourite restaurant

I have been there a few times while I was living in Colorado Springs. They have great food, thats prepared right then and there, fresh every day. Service takes time, but the ambiance makes up for it. I couldn't believe the good reviews I read after I went here for a late lunch recently. I had soup and salad combo. The salad had pieces of lettuce that were black, as in having sat somewhere and starting to decompose. Really? Surely that's not acceptable in any restaurant, much less one touting to be healthy and hip. The soup... More

So this was my 3rd meal at Adams Mountain Cafe, and by far the worst. We were told we'd have a 45 minute wait, and despite the restaurant being only 2/3 full, we waited for just short of an hour. Our waitress told us they were short-staffed, which would have been good to know when we first arrived. The food... More

It was so cold and most of the businesses were closed but I was determined to find someplace nice for dinner. Adam's looked good, especially the warm decor and fireplace. The menu was really interesting. Good combinations I would never think of putting together and done very well. The food was really good. The portions were large. The service was... More

I go to Adams when I want something healthy, which is hard to find when dining out. The food is always delicious. The service is slow and there is one surly waitress that seems to have been there forever. It has always been worth the wait.

Organic and locovore, this won't appeal to people who think Outback Steakhouse is great eats, but for me - excellent. Portions quite large and prices very reasonable, especially for organic and sustainable salmon. Service is not fast because they don't make it till you oirder it. Would very gladly return.

We stopped here for lunch after spending a great morning at Garden of the Gods. Loved the casual atmosphere and fresh organic foods. They offer a good selection and were very busy but we were seated and served promptly. Plenty of seating indoors or out. Don't miss the wonderful Tomato-Basil Bisque if it is offered for lunch. It was the... More

This restaurant has an excellent, airy, informal abience that spills over on to an outside patio for those interested in alfresco dining. The emphasis is heavily on local and organic ingredients. Salads and soups are both top notch, making this a sensible stopping point for lunch if you are en route to or from Pike's Peak. The house ice tea... More
