Good food and even better drinks

After our fisrt visit to eat lunch we went back every day for a mate drink of our choice. Peach was my favorite one. The atmosphere is relaxed and unhurried.

Yes it is staffed by people with religious beliefs. So freaking what. They don't proselyte or push what they believe. What they do is provide an excellent atmosphere and cup of tea. Great service and amazing tea. If someone having religious ideals prevents you from enjoying your tea then you shouldn't come here, but if others beliefs don't faze you... More

Turkey Reuben is off the chart and the service is amazing. I have enjoyed many food items and love the health and wellbeing aspects of the place. I even enjoy the occasional late night theological discussion...these guys are really cool. Support them!

This cafe is run by a tiny religious sect called the 12 Tribes, most recently in the news for severe child abuse - go ahead and google it. I'm sorry I added to their profits.

We stopped in here last week to grab a drink, and I was really surprised and impressed by the awesome tree-house-like interior! It felt like a little Irish hobbit's den or something! The guy working the counter was extremely friendly and informative about their house-made drink options. We got a hazelnut/vanilla latte...and while I'm pretty sure he gave us a... More

We stopped here for a quick bite before riding the Cog railroad at Pike's Peak and boy were we pleasantly surprised. We had the breakfast sandwich, a muffin, and a peach iced tea, all excellent. The price was so good $14.47 for 2 people, less than McDonalds and 1000 times better. We would highly recommend this small restaurant.

The menu consists of limited breakfast, sandwiches, wraps, and salads. We all had sandwiches for lunch. All sandwiches are made on homemade bread and the food was excellent. Proportions were more than adequate. The sandwiches are served almost as melts and served with chips on the side. I would definitely recommend lunch at the Café.

This place is located right on the corner of the "strip" in Manitou. I had the Veggie sandwich, and even though I am not a vegetarian, it is one of the best sandwiches I had. Although I didn't have a beverage, they certainly had plenty to chose from. If you visit Manitou Springs, you should definitely stop by Mate.

We were walking along Manitou Avenue and found this interesting place. We went in and found the place full. We sat at the counter and ordered the Chicken On A Ranch, The Sandwich and two cups of Red Tea. Both sandwiches were delicious and the portions were big. Service was a little slow as we waited 35 minutes for our... More

My wife and I were looking for a healthy lunch option so we decided to grab a bite at Mate 'factor after seeing that they were busy and had a great menu. We were greeted by Emmett, a very friendly laid-back fella. We grabbed a seat in a booth near the corner of the restaurant overlooking the creek. We both... More
