Good Waiter made the Difference

Lunch sandwiches are reasonably prices, dinners are outrageous. We stopped for lunch and had good food in good sized portions. I had a Chef Sandwich and was impressed. Service was slow, but out waiter was attentive and friendly.

Honestly, the food wasn't bad. However, the waitress kept saying that it was a new restaurant as an excuse for all the mistakes that were made. It may be under new management, but it is not a new place. Regardless, we were outside on the balcony above a stream which is the only redeeming thing about this place. We were... More

They were out of all the good food, ie buffalo burgers which was one of the reasons we went there. Slow service! We literally had to get up to get help help. Waving someone down didn't work. Fries were so under cooked they were practically cold. Sent 3 orders of fries back and only got 1 back and got tired... More

We ordered our drinks and they were served 45 minutes later. The free refills came only with requests. The food was nothing to crave and nothing to bring us back. We were seated at 12:30 and left at 2pm--- and we did. Not linger in conversation.

We had the bison strip steak, and it was very good. The waiter was not very interested in good service.

I really liked the outside of the place. Reminded me of a Wisconsin Supper Club. We chose to sit outside on the patio. It got a bit warm in the sun so we moved to a shaded table. I got the trout which was good and my husband got the fried chicken which was their house specialty. He said it... More

We were very surprised at the dinner menu. The only affordable options were salads or hamburgers. The rest of the menu offered $20-$35 entrees. The lunch menu was better, offering a variety of sandwiches. Sadly the burgers weren't the greatest, they reminded us of frozen premade patties. The back patio is a lot of fun though.

My server was a gentleman about 22 years old, on July 21st around 1230 I can't remember his name but he was excellent! I really liked the decor of the place and great hostess. :) Will definitely be back. I appreciate good customer service, and you guys are really doing it! Great elk dog a must try.

Went there because friends said it was delicious. We tried to order the bison, but they were out. Tried to order a Guiness, but they were out. I ended up ordering the blackened chicken alfredo and my husband got the Gutbuster. The chicken was hardly blackened and the alfredo sauce seemed more greasy than anything else. Was ok. The only... A tad slow in service, but good food. Sit outside if you can. Manitou Springs is crazy busy, so only go there if you like that kind of action. Lots of shopping and eating and of course, Pikes Peak.
