A Real Pleasure

We couldn't get on the Cog Railroad tour so we punted and came up with Briarhurst Manor. What an interesting tour! It is all self guided and so very interesting from its mismatched architecture to its beautiful but simple furniture and decor. The manor was in danger of being torn down at one point... read more

Me and my husband are on our honeymoon and wanted to go to just one fancy dinner. Wow! We found the jackpot! The atmosphere wasn't uppity at all, it was amazingly laid back while maintaining every bit of proper etiquette. I had the lamb while my husband had the elk, both were amazing but we would recommend the elk! Our... More

Took my wife to the Briarhurst Manor for her birthday. I made the reservation, on-line, a few nights before. No problems encountered--worked just as advertised!! We had the Lobster Linguini and Baked Brie for our starters and the Alamosa Striped Bass and Shrimp Scampi for our main courses. Desserts were the Classic Creme Brulee and their Orange "Creamsicle." All courses... More

My wife and I ate here for the first time in May and enjoyed the experience. Entrance is a bit hidden, but the manor and the grounds are beautiful and charming. We both ended up getting the 5 course option which you can add to any entree for an additional fee which we felt was worthwhile. Our server was friendly,... More

First of all you can't find the restaurant as there are no visible signs. Greeted by a young inexperienced hostess and server was equally inexperienced and lost her composure when we asked for dessert. Dark interior and depressing atmosphere. Attitude of staff was rude with sarcastic comments during dinner.

We were shocked and greatly saddened by your review. Naturally we expect our staff to treat our guests with the greatest respect and care. We deeply apologize if anyone on our staff was less than polite and professional to you. One can see from the many other reviews that our staff regularly receives high marks for their customer service. Please... More

What a delight this place is!! I have lived here my whole life and have never been, and now I'm sad I've missed it for so long! Every piece of our dinner was amazing!! Our table concierge Taumi was the sweetest and was just so attentive and amazing! Me and partner both agree that every part of the meal was... More

We remember Hannah, our professional server, like an ambassador for Briarhurst Manor. She was fleet-footed as she covered many tables, but always with a calm elegance, and with interesting stories to tell about the people who once lived in this massive old house. The food was first rate, with that night's amuse-bouche starter (crab claw in a lemon cajun broth... More

We had dinner for my husband's birthday there last night. This is the second year in a row. As before, it was an entire experience, not just dinner. This time, we took our kids. Allison's greeting was friendly, and she made us feel special by remembering us from last year. The staff made my daughter feel special, as we were... More

The service was very good. Our waiter gave his recommendations on the meal choices and he was right-on. We used a Groupon for the 5-course meal. Our waiter advised us that we could also visit the website to get the same deal any time. The food was delicious. The venue was very interesting, as it is an old mansion, and... More
