Every time I go back home, I keep telling myself to go here and I finally did. If you enjoy Middle Eastern food, go here! I ordered a gyro with chicken and also the gyro meat and liked it. The server was friendly and gracious, even bringing me a complementary cup of sage tea, which I liked much better than... More

Went in for a nice lunch with one of our grandchildren. Prompt service, it was all good until lunch was served. The adult meals were fine, but the children's mac and cheese looked awful. I couldn't believe it made it out of the kitchen. Obviously Kraft boxed mix that had been made and left to sit. Part of it was... More

Given how touristy Manitou Springs is, we were afraid the restaurants would all be overpriced and not very good. We were happy to find Sahara Café where the service was friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious. We all had Gyro's and very much enjoyed the chef's twists on an old classic.

I have mixed feelings about the review because the people at the restaurant were so pleasant, but there were some areas for improvement. We sat long enough before a server came that we almost left. Once we ordered things were fine. I had the lamb kabobs, which were excellent. My wife had a chicken dish, which was good but not... More

Had read the good reviews on Trip Advisor and were looking for somewhere informal for dinner with my daughter and her 6 year old son. We were welcomed enthusiastically by the waiter who immediately grasped that my grandson was tired and cranky. He placed his order first. We had delicious food, very reasonable prices, and very friendly service. The waiter... More

We loved the fresh salads, hummus, and falafel. The toasted pita that came with our meal was gently flavored with olive oil and thyme, and the dolmas were warm and homemade. Add friendly and attentive service, late hours, and locally made ice cream and we've got a winner in the Rockies!

We were pleasantly pleased with our choice for dinner at this restaurant! The food was delicious and plentiful! The waiter was very attentive and friendly. The price of the meal was very reasonable and we took some dessert home to enjoy later. It was within walking distance of our hotel, so we also enjoyed the downtown area while walking to... More

Came here for lunch while in town based on the positive reviews. I thought the service was very friendly and the food pretty good. My friend, didn't like the hummus nor the tabbouleh because she said it wasn't made correctly. I wouldn't know. I had the beef swarma plate and to top off the meal got one each of the... More

Nice middle eastern restaurant in downtown Manitou Springs. Our server was very pleasant and helpful. prices are modest. Not a fancy place. I'd be happy to eat here again.

I have eaten Gyros in Greece and the Sahara version is NOT authentic. BUT they are FABULOUS. No onions or taziki sauce in their version. But 3 kinds of meat (Lamb, beef and chicken) in the Sahara plus tahini and pickled turnips make for a mighty tasty combination. The sandwich was huge (my 18 yr old daughter made 2 meals... More
