We had lunch at the Sahara Cafe last week. The lamb kabobs were tender and tasty. Served up with hummus and pita, it was wonderful. My wife order the lamb sandwich and loved it. We finished up with baklava. We went back today and had lunch with our daughter-in-law. Again, the food was wonderful. I love flavors and the sage... More

Wow ....My family and I visited Manitou this past weekend and stopped in here for lunch and it was amazing! My son and I had the Sahara Gyro and it was great. My daughter said her onion rings were the best she ever had! My son's girlfriend had the sampler and said it was great as well! If you go... More

The restaurant was on the main road in the heart of the tourist area. Really convenient for me and I loved the food. I had the sampler plate which featured a little bit of everything. If you enjoy Middle Eastern cuisine you will not be disappointed!

We ducted into this place to eat during a very short lived rain. Found it charming and hip, more then just a place to eat. The server/owner was very knowledgeable and friendly. Their menu yet small, had something for us all. Even being vegetarian.Lovely, hand crafted lamps hanging above added atmosphere; made by a relative a few doors down. Falafel sandwich... More

My three friends and I were walking around downtown Manitou Springs when I remembered that I had read about a great restaurant here on TripAdvisor with Sahara in the name. One of my friends spotted it, so we decided to go in and have lunch. No regrets, at all, and I can see why it is the number one rated... More

Interior: clean and had a decent decor. Food : really good. We ordered the falafel and fava plates and a baklava for dessert. The pita was very soft and very well flavored. The falafel and hummus were delicious. The fava plate was good too. The Baklava wasn't as exciting as the entrees but it did not have an overpowering sweetness.... More

I had the chicken Gyro and my husband had the lamb. They were both very good. Seasoned well. The prices were reasonable and the service was very prompt. I would absolutely recommend stopping here!

My friend and I stumbled upon this place, decided to give it a try, and were extremely happy we did. It doesn't look like much from the outside but both the food and service were superb. They even gave us complimentary sage tea which was great and dessert. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for... More

The menu is mostly Greek style. My mother is from the south and didn't know what to order. The waiter was very helpful in helping her decide what to order. We all had plenty to eat and took some with us. I had the flaffel and loved it and the yogurt sauce served with it. I would also recommend their... More

Every time I go back home, I keep telling myself to go here and I finally did. If you enjoy Middle Eastern food, go here! I ordered a gyro with chicken and also the gyro meat and liked it. The server was friendly and gracious, even bringing me a complementary cup of sage tea, which I liked much better than... More
