What a fantastic lunch in a quaint little town of Monitou Srings.

Oh my goodness, what a gem. We were looking for something different for lunch and we found it at Sahara. We got a booth immediately, sat down and ordered immediately. We were touring in Manitou Springs and decided to stop for lunch. We stopped at Sahara cafe and this woman said to us that she highly recommended this restaurant because the food is great. After having lunch there, I would have to agree with her. In fact, the picture of the plate Lunch is what our friend Debbie had and... More

The folks are friendly, the sage tea is delicious, and it's my favorite vegetarian place to eat in Manitou Springs.

Excellent, fresh Middle Eastern food. We had an assortment of platters, and everything was fresh and delicious. My favorite falafel has long been L'As du Falafel in Paris, but Sahara's version is even better. Without question the best place for a meal in the center of Manitou Springs. In terms of value, it's hard to do better than Sahara Cafe,... More

We had the hummus (great), falafel (very good), dolmeh (excellent), salad (good), and pita (very good). Hubby also had the chicken (very good). The restaurant is very clean and I'm sure it was the owner waiting on us because she was always busy. The place was very clean and cute. I highly recommend it!

My boyfriend and I gave the Sahara cafe a try not thinking much of it and it was amazing! We had breakfast and their eggs are fresh not out of a carton bacon was long and thick and very yummy. The pancakes were also delicious very small hint of lemon and butter that just melted in your mouth. I would... More

Gave this a try not expecting much and we were wonderfully surprised. Loved the hummus and the pita bread was fresh and delicious. The baklava was by far the best we've ever had. Very reasonably priced for a tourist town. We'll be back for sure.

I am eating the baklava as I write, my eyes rolling back in delight! Wow, the reviews did not disappoint. Briney dolmas, balanced tsatsiki and tender kabobs. The cukes were crunchy and the salad greens were fresh, not wilted. The hummus was a tad creamier to my liking and the tabbouleh a bit heavy with green onions but what a... More

We stopped here for lunch and quite enjoyed the delicious shawarma, cozy atmosphere, congenial staff and reasonable prices, I tried the Turkish Coffee, (very robust, it must be an acquired taste). Have you ever tried shawarma?
