Good Food and Great Service

From the Hostess to the Barista and our sever we experienced friendly and competent service - hard to find both. Food is good and because we were there on a holiday weekend the place was packed and I think the kitchen was jammed which caused the food to be good when it could be great.

I always enjoy eating at The Huckleberry. I love the Mediterranean wrap, veggie Benedict, and the niciose salad. They have a five pepper soup that is amazing. I've only caught it there once. Wish they would post their soul of the Day online. I'd watch for it and go!

This is one of my favorite restaurants. They have really great home style cooking and healthy options too. They also serve great non-alcoholic, coffee drinks and great teas. They have a high tea that is really amazing too. My only complaint is the speed of service is ALWAYS very slow.

Enjoyable if you get there before 8:30AM. Otherwise the line is huge and the overwhelming noise from large numbers of yelling children block out most normal conversation. Everyone after 9:00AM has at least one child under 5 yrs. Mid range housing prices attract younger families. Young family housing in Louisville and surrounding area produces many children. Food is very good.... More

Ordered chicken fried steak and husband ordered Reuben. Wow. Everything tasted awful and seemed as if it had been prepared ahead and reheated. Way over spiced as well. Reuben corned beef was like shoe leather. I would bypass this one if possible.

I went at the suggestion of my hotel, for breakfast, and was met by a friendly server. All the staff were helpful and extremely friendly, and there was a great atmosphere - helped by the decor, which is laid-back and informal. I had a strawberry milkshake to drink - and then another one! - and the stack of pancakes with... More

We went for Sunday Brunch. We were seated after waiting just 15 minutes instead of the 30 minute wait that we were told to expect. That was a good start, but it was downhill from there. Service was somewhat slow. I ordered their biscuits and gravy with potatoes and eggs. They [almost] forgot the gravy. There was hardly any gravy.... More

I get the same dish every time I go there. Crab cakes Benedict with extra Hollandaise sauce. Delicious! Great staff and owner. I highly recommend the Huckleberry.

Previous reviews that suggest a bit of a long wait on Sundays are correct. The mixed berry crepes were very good as was the country breakfast. Service did seem a bit slow and a bit long of a wait for the ordered food and drinks to be brought to be brought to the table. Refills on the tea finally were... More

One of our favorite breakfast haunts. Fabulous Huevos Rancheros . Crepes were killer served with side sausage & eggs. The server Hope was delightful. Great tattoos. Clean and happy place
