Downtown Louisville. Best Small town in US. Relaxing way to spend a Weekend Morning on the Patio with Family / Friends. Good Food. Good Coffee. Friendly and helpful staff.

Bittersweet recently opened "Por", a wine bar, in the outdoor seating area just behind the Bittersweet coffee shop on Main Street. This is more of a drinks first / food secondary type of place with a limited appetizer-type menu. The ambiance is wonderful and the sommelier is very knowledgeable and helpful. They serve "better than average" wines by the bottle... More

Order your bagel sandwich at the counter and the surprisingly delicious breakfast will be delivered to the table along with coffee. Coffee is well brewed - strong and dark and delicious.

I walked in on a semi-busy just-after-lunch time. While both counter people were busy, they acknowledged me with a smile and a courteous comment. When I was ordering, they were friendly and answered my questions. My sandwich was average, but the service, from the time I walked in through the prompt delivery of my meal, was wonderful.

I bought a pastry and it was all dried out and cost like 5 dollars, they tried to get me a better one but it seems most of them were not in good shape, the coffee seemed old, like it had not been changed out in a while and when I left the counter the baristas were bad mouthing the... More

We waited 15 minutes to order and 15 minutes for our food. Seemed understaffed for a Sunday morning. Coffee was good, but food not worth the wait. Bagels too soft for our liking.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I've worked in customer service for more than 20 years and would never speak to a dissatisfied customer the way the manager spoke to me.

I am very sorry to hear that you did not have a good experience at my cafe. Moreover, I am saddened and surprised to hear that you complaints did not get handled professionally. I would like to understand what happened to you, to ensure that it doesn't happen again. Sincerely, Patrick Walsh Owner More

But if you're looking for great coffee/food and the relaxing atmosphere of a house-turned-cafe the the Bittersweet is for you. My wife and I use to live in Louisville years ago and just returned to meet with friends. Main Street Louisville has turned into... More

This is a great place to stop at the end of the evening for dessert and coffee (or tea). There was a wide assortment of tasty treats, a steady stream of customers, and a comfortable environment to hang out for an hour or so...
