Tired of fried eggs and hashed browns? Check out Lucile's for a cajun breakfast experience. My favorite is the Eggs Sardou. Two poached eggs with creamed spinach and gulf shrimp served with your choice of grits or spicy home fries (or half and half) and a big ol' buttermilk biscuit. This should be slathered with a liberal heaping of their... More

Lucile's Creole's Café is the place to be for breakfast! Be prepared to wait a bit on week-ends but the wait is worth it. The breakfast drinks (bloody Marys and the oj. with rum, etc.) are just fantastic. Menu selection is very good. You can choose entrees with a real spice or more regular items. The beignets made me feel... More

I'm not going to comment on lunch because I rarely have been for lunch. This place is awesome for breakfast though! I'm not from Louisiana so I can't compare their beignets with true local fare, but I can tell you they are freaking delicious. The same goes for pretty much every dish on the menu. I live in Long, not and... More

The Creole flavors vary from small touches to signature Louisiana dishes. Meats and fish, varied eggs, bread/batter products including beignets, porridges and granola--the breakfast menu is our favorite. (I personally have not done lunch, though my family assures that its flavors and qualities equal morning fare.) My favorite breakfast along the Front Range.

...didn't really connect with me. Having grown up in Louisiana, the expectation for the quality for beignets is based on experience. They shouldn't be like a sopaipilla...close but not the same! I suppose it is difficult to truly present traditional creole fare so far from the source. One thing we typically do not expect is for the staff to be... More

My husband and I LOVE Lucile's. We have been eating there for years. He always gets Eggs Jennifer and I order a half order of Hank's Eggs. Hank's Eggs are a scramble that is no longer on the menu. For those of us that have been going for a long time, they still will whip up a batch. You just... More

Our son brought us to Lucile's for breakfast claiming it was about as good as one could find anywhere. Well, he was correct! Get there early and wait patiently for a table because it is worth the wait. The biscuits are not like any I have ever had at a restaurant. They are tender on the inside and delightfully crunchy... I've eaten at Lucile's many times, starting with the original in Boulder and including the one in Steamboat. The Lucile's in Longmont is excellent. Great egg dishes and a popcorn shrimp salad that is outstanding. Service is consistently good. Spiced tea is a flavor treat for your mouth (lots of caffeine, too). Great chicory coffee, wonderfully-light homemade biscuits, and very... More

Lucile's is a great place for breakfast or brunch. Bring your appetite as the servings are large. I didn't have them this time but the beignets are wonderful. The biscuits are huge and quite tasty. They usually bring them out first but be careful to not get filled up on the biscuit - the best is yet to come! The... More

We try to eat at luciles at least once, every time we are in Longmont. This time it was breakfast, which, as always was very good. Luciles has been consistently very good all the years we have gone there. It is probably the best "Cajun- creole" restaurant in Colorado. If you are in the Longmont area and like this type... More
