Fun atmosphere

I was visiting family in this area and we decided to eat here. Our experience was pleasant and I would probably go back. The atmosphere of the 50s style is fun- I enjoyed the outfits and decorations. My burger was average, but my milkshake and fries were excellent. The service was good and friendly.

Stopped here on Monday for a hot breakfast on a cold day! My wife and I had a couple of great breakfasts. I had the chicken fried chicken breakfast, which was enough to bring home! The hash browns are fantastic! These folks know how to cook crispy has browns that aren't soggy in the middle. Gunther Toody's aren't known for... More

We go here for breakfast. The service is good, the wait staff is interesting, they have a good menu and the food is OK, and the prices are good.

First experience with this Colorado chain. What a fantastic breakfast. The breakfast specials are "back to the 50's" priced. The waitresses are 50's characters and our's was a hoot. The food was very good. We will go back there again. Hint: try the deep fried sausage - excellent. The hand-dipped ice cream malts are served in the metal can -... More

How can you NOT like a very inexpensive, good, filling breakfast presented at most reasonable times during the week?! Talk about value for your money and, especially, if you are inclined to nostalgia and the 50/60's scene? $3.49 for the whole breakfast! M-F at something like 7-11 am. Crispy hash browns are so tasty! My wife and I dropped in... More

Went out for breakfast with my brother and his family while visiting from the United Kingdom. The diner is very authentic with excellent decor inside. The staff were both friendly and helpful. There were lots of choices for breakfast and I had French Toast which was well prepared and tasty. Our waitress was attentive and we received regular refills of... More

Twice in the past month, I have had very good to excellent service at this diner. Food is typical diner food a good price. Milk shakes are very good. My kids love the pinball machine and sitting at the counter. Their green chili is flavorful and spicy better.

We were so impressed by the service we received at the Diner! The waitress was more than attentive and accommodating to our two grandchildren by having us order their food first, discreetly slipping us some cookies for after the meal without the kids seeing it, bringing a new fresh cup of coffee rather than just a refill, etc., these being... You don't go to Gunther Toody's for fine dining. You go for quick, gut-filling food and fantastic malts and shakes with a sense of nostalgia-or at least someone's view of it. Most of all, we went to join our friends. We had the Patty Melt, a Cheeseburger and a Chocolate Malt. Think of your favorite greasy spoon-yep, the foods just... More

Frankly, I was disappointed. I had heard good thinks about breakfast at Gunther's. I sat at the counter to get quicker service. It took almost 20 minutes to get a cup of coffee, and 40 to get my eggs. The hash-browns were average, although the eggs were properly cooked, they seemed tasteless. I am not likely to go back..
