Reading through reviews, here are some corrections: there is no pool table, they cook 99% of food from scratch, and they don't charge for water. This locals' favorite serves authentic Colorado valley/New Mexico style Mexican food, from recipes handed down from the owner's mother and grandmother. Everyone knows that Mexican food varies regionally in our country, so don't expect Tex-mex,... More

We love their food. The seating is very casual and the food is authentic and absolutely wonderful! Hidden off the main street, tucked away in the historic district; don't miss it.

Our family visited this restaurant and was shocked to find such rude service. The owner seems to not really care like she runs a monopoly or something. The food is bland, gross, and overpriced. Dont make the mistake we did!

Good food, super friendly servers. The restaurant was overwhelmed by the amount of people in town, though the servers were friendly and a bit apologetic about the slow service. The food is good enough and the restaurant accommodated us with our high needs separate checks, tracking kids down who were part of one's bill but sitting elsewhere, etc. Highly recommended.... The big dinner plate actually takes two plates to hold all the food and is my favorite. The chicken enchilada plate is wonderful, too. Every time if drive from Utah to Leadville, I'm not happy unless I get to eat here. Not many tourists, but the locals all know this place.

We were directed here by a local as her favorite lunch spot. Never would have seen it otherwise, as it is a block or two off the main drag. Cute & cozy Victorian house atmosphere, fun to sit in a window watching historic neighborhood comings & goings, framed by snowcapped mountains. The Chile Rellenos were good. Plain & true home... Chicken enchiladas dry and stringy. They charge for chips and salsa. Complaints to management about food go unheeded. Favorite for many locals, but I don't get it.

Looking for a local favorite this is it. Service is quick and friendly. The menu offers a wide variety of favorites. Family owned and operated. Off the main street but easily found.

Some of the other reviewers hit it spot on. Same old Mexican food. That doesn't mean it wasn't good. I had the stuffed sopapilla and it was really good. Seemed to be a favorite place for locals if that means anything. Service was a bit slow but there was only one waitress and she was working hard. Place is a... More

You know what they say about Mexican food...all the same ingredients served in a slightly different way. That's true of Casa Blanca. The food is adequate. The locals flock to the restaurant, though, and that's the real draw. The banter between waitresses, locals, owner and outsiders is worth the bland fare.
