Whatever you order, be sure to get a side of the excellent red chile. It's fine poured over enchiladas, the onion-y pork carnitas, or beans. Add a little black pepper, too. Satisfying!

Stopped in on a local suggestion. Had the #5 combo. Enjoyed the red chili, the bean burrito was excellent. Not great decor, but great food.

There weren't too many dining options in Lamar, and we ended up going here by mistake (the clerk at a nearby hotel recommended Mission Villanueva). Overall it was decent for the price. Portions were adequate, and the prices were low. Our server was quick and pleasant. I should have ordered the chile relleno soft instead of crispy. What they call... More

Our stomachs were still in a different time zone, so we were the only customers there. The service was excellent, but the food was definitely lacking. The buffet was not warm yet so it was not safe to eat. The food we ordered off the menu was dripping so much grease that we ended up abandoning most of our meal.

While in town for a sporting event, we stopped in for lunch. The food was amazingly quick, reasonably priced and delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly!

When traveling to small towns, I prefer to cater to local businesses, especially restaurants. Las Brisas was conveniently located on the main street in downtown Lamar (US 287), with street parking out front or around the corner. Two options were available for dinner - the Mexican buffet ($8 for adults, $4 for kids under 10 or 12(?), free for kids... More

This main street restaurant is not fancy, but provides good food fast and is a pleasant place to eat in the heart of Lamar. They do not serve alcoholic beverages. The place is clean, and orderly and the service, as stated was amazingly quick. Prices are very reasonable.

What a find! There aren't a lot of restaurant choices in Lamar so we entered Las Brisas because nothing looked better. The aged decor (plain 1970s wood-grain paneling) did little to ease our trepidation but there were a lot of folks in there eating happily enough so we sat down. A gracious woman brought menus, chips and salsa. Munching on... More

This is a great little Mexican cafe downtown. I really enjoy everything I've ever eaten here although the spiciness of the sauce changes (I'm told based on whether the maker is mad at her spouse that day or not). Regardless, it is consistently good. I'm not a buffet person, but a lot of people eat the lunch buffet. There isn't... More

This small restaurant has great salsa and a wonderful buffet for lunch on Wednesdays and Fridays. The cheese enchiladas are incredible as is the guacamole and about anything else I have had there.
