We had the expectation of enjoying a great brunch. We used to have brunch there when it was Simms Landing and it was a lot better five years ago. A run down of the buffet was four tables with chaffing dishes, an omelet station and a carving station. I personally love eggs Benedict and looked all over for them. I... More

Best steakhouse I have been to in years. Great view of downtown, great food and excellent service. You can spend a lot here but there are also reasonable choices on the menu.

I was surprised to read the bad reviews of Simms Steakhouse in early 2014 because of bad service. I ate there last night (7/10/14) and the service was excellent! I had the best prime rib I've ever had and my date had a filet he said was outstanding. Dessert was incredible too. Great ambience and view to go with a... More

This place is horrible! We went there with a large party and the service was terrible. Our steaks were over cooked and so they had to redo them then they were under cooked. Medium rare is not that difficult to achieve. They didn't even comp anything while we were waiting for th to re cook two steaks. Then they tried... More

This is a standard pick for grown up birthday dinner. Never disappointed with the food or service. Our server, Kimberly, did an amazing job and was very attentive even while waiting on multiple tables. The food was fantastic. Salmon, trout, and the special of the night, bison prime rib, were all perfectly cooked and served. Great for steaks and a... More

Decor is pleasant, redone modern with nice views of downtown. Level of service did not match level of price. There were big lapses in service and lots of friendly but almost canned banter from the staff. They were pleasant but not particularly professional. There is a typical retro a la carte steak house menu with lame attempts at modernizing. Soft... More

It sits on a hill overlooking the valley. We had a large party and the food was very good and well presented. They had a choice of some very fine wines, which we all agreed was worth drinking. Service was very attentive. Good friends, good food. Enjoyed the evening.

All I had to eat was the filet mignon and bread. Should you want a salad or vegetables they are all priced separately like $9.00 for asparagus. While we were sitting there we saw two different parties seated near us and when they took a look at the menu they simply got up and left. My steak was no better... More

Simms website asserts "impeccable service" and a "premier dining experience", but delivers neither. The wait staff, though personable, seemed uncomfortable and clearly poorly trained (our server had trouble pronouncing "endive" of all things and struggled worryingly opening the wine, and the party at the adjoining table had water dumped all over them), the pacing and coordination with the kitchen is... My wife and I stopped by fairly early and instead of ordering dinner we decided to try the happy hour menu. Prices were reasonable for both food and drinks. We had the angus sliders, the prime rib sliders and blackened fish tacos. All were excellent. Drinks were well made also. We were to full to eat dinner after such great... More
