Elegant, Leisurely Lunch on top of a mountain

This beauty is at the top of Outpost in the Northwoods of the Keystone ski area. Guests can take Gondolas from the bottom of Riverun, get off at the Summit and connect with the Outpost Gondola...very simply done and for dinner this is the only way to get there. We skiied for 4 hours and ended up there; magic in... More

An amazingly beautiful location.Had heard about blankets for gondola...never saw or were offered any...Yes its cold going up , but worth the ride...Had read reviews so we're well wrapped up. Not sure about being offered slippers 50 people have worn already, but nice all the same.Waiters were very attentive and sufficiently chatty without being obtrusive. Food ? Well as an... More

Although the experience was spectacular my wife got sick from something she ate. The lack of restroom facilities in between gondola runs forced her to defecate on the side of a lift op station in freezing temps. Needless to say a humiliating experience. The next morning I attempted to call and inform the restaurant to avoid this from possibly happening... More

I've been to the Stube on top of Keystone many times. Generally a good time. I made the reservation 10 days in advance for New Years. The day before they changed the venue from the real AlpenGlow Stube to the conference center. They said the night time temperatures were too low to be outdoors. First not the not so good...... More

A group of 6 had dinner here on Xmas night, and it was really a wonderful experience. There was some confusion with our reservation, and the management went out of their way to make it right. The food was plentiful for a prix fixe menu, and they were very accommodating with making small adjustments to accommodate dietary restrictions. Some of... More

I agree with the previous review of Lynn R. We had enjoyed dinner at the Alpenglow Stube for many many years on Christmas Eve. Since our last visit on Dec 24 2012, the format has changed to an a la cart menu. The food and service was just OK and not the usual very high standard of both we had... More

For years we have enjoyed lunch/brunch at the Stube for Christmas Day, company parties and with our out of town guests. This year, we reserved a table for lunch on Christmas Day and looked forward to enjoying a nice ski, then lunch with the typical service and standards we had previously experienced for 15+ years. To our surprise, the menu... More

I love this place. I have only been . Once because it is pricey. But for a special occasion it is the most perfect place! You get to take 2 gondolas to the top of a mountain. The food, oh the food. I can not tell you how amazing it is. Dont worry you will not be hungry when you... More

The wonderful evening began by taking 2 gondola rides to the top of the mountain. They gave us blankets so that we could wrap up and stay warm. The view riding over the mountains was awesome. The restaurant resembles something in the Alpines. As we enter the restaurant we are given warm booties to keep our feet warm and dry.... More
