Nice stop on the way to the top

I opted out of going all the way up Mt. Evans (chose some extra sleep as I had a late flight out of Denver), but stopped in here for some souvenirs. Lots of interesting items (a nice way of saying there is some junk), but there is something for just about every collector to mark their trip... read more

Built in 1926, Echo Lake Lodge still stands. It has a rich history. In addition to providing lodging (not any more), it was also once a place for military training during WW2. Today, even though you can't get a room, at an elevation of 10,600 ft., you can sit at the small bar with stools for a drink or coffee... More

We stopped here after driving up to Mt. Evans. The scenery around the lodge is absolutely breathtaking. We would recommend stopping here, but just be prepared to wait for a table, food, etc. It took about 30 minutes to get a table, then another 45 minutes (seriously) to get our food. The food wasn't bad, but the waiter was a... More

Admittedly, I did not try the food, but they had humming bird feeders at the windows so you could eat and watch the humming birds eat at the same time. I loved this! It's hard to come by better dinner company. All of the staff in the shop and in the cafe were more than helpful and friendly

We visited the Echo Lake Lodge last week after a long morning of driving up Mt. Evans and back. Our entire group was hungry and we arrived at the lodge restaurant around 2 pm thinking the lunch rush might have diminished. The hostess warned us immediately that the food might take up to 45 minutes because the dining room was... More

This place had everything .... Great food.... An absolutely beautiful view of the lake and mountains and lots of hummingbirds! The waitress was super nice and polite. The food was very good. I highly recommend for families.

We decided to eat lunch here on a day trip up to Mount Evans. Adult party of four. Service was a little slow. The restaurant was almost empty when we were seated (a little before noon), but filled up by the time we had left. The important points: -I was surprised they were already "out" of several entrees when lunch... More

This is a short drive from Denver. Beautiful view. Really does look like a post card. The road to Mt Evans was closed so we turned around at the lodge. There were people trying to fish but the weeds were very thick.

Stopped in & broused while taking in great views. Next will grab a bite to eat. Clean bathrooms. Great trails around the lake.

Poor service, untrained servers behaving as though they were overwhelmed when they simply were not at full capacity and in reality they were not swamped at all. Mediocre food. Underwhelming experience in general. We went because we were super hungry after our backpacking trip, and this was our big 'reward' at the end of our journey, Literally walking up to... More
