There weren't a whole lot of options in the city, but we really enjoy buffalo burgers when we go West so we thought we'd give it a try. We tried two different buffalo burgers and they were both pretty tasty. The homemade fries were also good and generously-portioned. However, neither one of us thought it was $15 per person good.... Quaint western bar & grill. Uniquely decorated. Food was good and average priced. Can't say anything bad. They have buffalo in the menu if you want.

The town of Idaho springs has several great local restaurants and this is definitely one of them. They have a great beer/drink menu and a broader than expected food menu. We went with local buffalo burgers and they were excellent! Service was great, making it a great luncheon break off the highway on the way to Denver.

We decided to try somewhere different. It was good. Burgers and fries. Fries were just like my Dad used to make us when I was little. I had the BBQ cheddar bacon burger. It was good. Not spectacular. But good. Goid sized. Cooked perfect. A but overpriced for 2 strips of bacon added. Regular burgers are about $8.99 and this... More

Enjoyed the bison burger and looking at all the antique signs on the walls as they bring back a lot of memories. The wooden bar is a historic and still used treasure, and they use a wooden wall cooler like I have never seen. Very pleasant staff and just a very funky place worth stopping in to enjoy. Sure beats... More

The restaurant is on a charming old west street Easy off/easy on Route 70 traveling West fromDenver. Decorated with a fun profusion of old tin advertisements, the Buffalo provides good bar food, with a heaping plate of nachos seeming to be a favorite. We re-entered the freeway satisfied and refreshed after a short post-prandial stroll around town.

Recently rode through Idaho Springs with my son and we stopped here for dinner. Food was good, service friendly and ambience ambience. I ordered the buffalo wings, burger and draft beer. All excellent. Definitely will go back again when I'm in the area.

We were on a motorcycle trip and stopped at Buffalo to wait out the rain and grab a bite. We had the tempura fried mushrooms with cheese, they were giant and tasty. I also had the cheese burger and fries, the burger was cooked to order a perfect medium as I had requested. It was flavorful, juicy, and the perfect... More

We just stopped for a drink but it was a fun old west looking place. Would have liked to have gone back but we didn't have enough time.
