Poor service, but good food

It wasn't even crowded and the service was poor, but the beer and food were good. Jalapeño poppers and carnitas tacos were both really good.

Enjoyed the BBQ pulled pork and house made root beer in a brew pub atmosphere. Fits in with the eclectic western vibe of Idaho Springs. High energy eatery popular with tourists with the spirit of the mining history of Colorado.

We stopped in for a beer and stayed quite a while. No food, just beer. 3 of us tried about all they had - quite a variety and all good. Easy parking around back. Nice TVs for watching a game.

The service was very slow and they were not terribly busy. Onion rings were really good and came out pretty quickly. My husband and I ordered the fish and chips and split it my kids each ordered a hamburger and fries. It took a really long time to get our food, my husband ordered two beers and almost finished the... More

We tried the soups & samplers of the beer. Everything was very tasty. Plus, they had gluten free bread for those who cannot have gluten. We ordered fries & the plate was enough for at least 4 people. If you are in Idaho Springs, I would recommend trying this place.

Busy and I didn't enjoy the experience. The food was OK but typical roadhouse menu. I had an Elk burger which tasted like an ordinary burger with blueberry stuff instead of ketchup.I had a beer which the server told me was very strong which was the reason that they sold it in wee glasses.Seemingly, the altitude and the beer strength... The food and beers were tasty, but the service was a little slow. They have a variety of burgers, from beef to buffalo and elk, even a duck burger. The beers are good and they have a variety for different tastes. Would definitely eat here again.
