Classic Colorado Pizza Pie

At Beau Jo's you have to get the Mountain Pie with the big time crust. The five of us split a five pound pie with our favorite toppings: sausage, basil, and artichoke hearts, with the Beau Jo's red sauce. We managed to eat almost all of it. Honey is provided at the table to put on your crusts for... read more

Stopped for lunch on our way to Breckenridge for lunch based on all the great recommendations. It didn't disappoint. We had the salad bar and Colorado Mountain pizza. The small was enough to share with the salad bar. The pizza was excellent, the honey for the crust was amazing. it's sort of strange combination, but we were blown away by... More

So great! We showed up at 12:30pm on a Saturday and were sat in less than 5 minutes. Such a surprise as this is a very well known, busy restaurant. The salad bar is a must, it is huge with tons of different veggies. It was just my husband and I and we ordered two 1 pound pizzas, we had... More

This was our first experience with Colorado-style pizza. It was delicious! Thick chewy crust. Try a squirt of honey on it as they suggest - a whole new taste experience. Meat pizza was loaded nicely. Three of us shared an appetizer, pizza and had soft drinks for under $35.

It is very touristy, but very worth it. The pizza is great, just be ready to drop a little change. The honey with the crust makes all the difference!

I must say, this is one of the best pizza parlors I have ever eaten at. On my way from Denver to Vail, we stopped at Mount Evans and this lovely little town. My friend, a Colorado local, explained that we must come and eat Colorado style pizza. I gasped when I thought of putting honey on the crust. We... More

Beau Jo's is an icon! Sometimes it's popularity makes it impossible to get seated but what does that say about their food!! I had a great waitress who listened to what kind of Pizza toppings I REALLY wanted and recommended a "Favorite" from the menu with the just the Red Onion Deleted. That made it an economical choice and I... More

We were seated upstairs overlooking one of the lower dining areas. The fans were caked in dust. Dust on the tin ceiling near vents that were blowing air conditioning. There was a vent on the wall tat was blowing beside the State flag. The flag was covered with dust. Open and visible for all to see. Makes wonder when the... More

OH MAN OH MAN! This was the best pie we've had in a while. The honey for the left over crust is a nice bonus.
