Good local pizza place

We went in for an early lunch at 11:30 and got seated right away. When we left there was a pretty long line waiting for a table. We started with the garlic cheese bread. It was outstanding. Then we had the pizza with the mountain crust. It was a little too thick. I wish we would have tried the... read more

I was in a party of nine and the wait was not too bad. they don't accept reservations so we waited for about 40 minutes even though they told us it was going to be about 25. if you're looking for a quiet restaurant you don't want to eat here, it's a large restaurant and it always always full. The... More

Crust contains local honey AND there is a squeeze bottle of honey on the table to DIP YOUR PIZZA!!! Remarkable! Who thought of this! We don't have Beau Jo's back home BUT I will be dipping pizza in honey from now on! AWESOME

I have eaten here many, many times over the years and recommend it to anyone passing through. So many of the mountain restaurants are substandard because they know they are not likely to get repeat business. Not so with Beau Jo's, They are a mainstay for those of us in state and because of their quality have expanded in Colorado.... More

I ordered a build your own pizza with a thinner crust. It was good, but it was also pricy. Each topping cost over $1 to add to a small pizza, which started off around $7. The food was good and perhaps the surrounding restaurants have similar prices, but if I went back to this area I would eat somewhere else.... More

This is the best pizza I have had in Colorado. Located in Idaho Springs just about an hour drive from Denver. Plan to wait. Especially on the weekends. Parking is limited as it is primarily a tourist town. I recommend parking in the back. Traffic heading to Idaho Springs on Friday is bad and It is bad heading back to... More

This place is obviously very popular, as it was packed mid week when we arrived for lunch. There was a bit of a wait for food, but the mountain pizza was worth it. Huge!!! Having honey to drizzle over the enormous crust was a nice touch too.

We got a lucky tip from a local to try the best pizza around. It was amazing! Giant crust perfectly cooked. Fresh veggies generously cut and portioned. Sauce a perfect blend of tomato and spices. And for a bonus they give you honey to pour over the leftover crust for a sweet ending to a great meal. Enthusiastic five stars.

Our first taste of Colorado-style pizza and we will definitely return. We ordered two single-pound pizzas and that was the perfect amount for a family of four.

Sometimes when on vacation you get tired of overpaying for tourist traps and overrated food. This was a refreshing change. I felt that we got a great value for money here. Being from Chicago, we eat tons of pizza. I thought that the pizza here was great and on par with some of the better pizzas available at home. They... More
