We just happen to stop in the little town as were going thought the mountains and it was GREAT! It as round lunch, so we gave this spot a try. The service was a little slow, but they were swamped. The pizza had a great crust and had plenty of fixings. It was a little on the expensive side, but... More

We love Beau Jo's; the atmosphere is old mining style, the food is great and the staff is friendly. The mountains pies are outstanding but the sandwiches are terrific too.

I can't say this was my kind of pizza. We ordered our large meat lovers pizza and some cheese bread sticks. No drinks. It cost almost $50.00! Our pizza was overflowing with ham, sausage and pepperoni, literally. It was a bit too much. I liked the thick crust but the sauce was not to our liking, it was just rather... More

This place is worth passing over Denver restaurants to get to. It might be the best pizza in Colorado. Inside the restaurant is old mine shaft that adds to the atmosphere. We always pull off the highway to make a stop at this great pizza place!

If you are reading this is because you are not local. Locals (read Coloradans) know about this institution. When the traffic on I-70 becomes unbearable pull off to Idaho Springs and enjoy one of the best deep dish pizzas you can have. Follow the local tradition and eat the crust with honey. I bet you will enjoy it. Note: if... More

I was really looking forward to this place, everyone I know recommended it. Well we came to eat lunch and ordered the mountain pie. The menu promised that the pizza would be topped with a "mountain" of toppings. What we found was that the pizza had no more toppings than a regular pizza but it did have a huge doughy... More

The team at Beau Jo's fed a travel party of 80 and we did not run out of pizza or salad or soft drinks - Landmark building, great food, great bar - if you drive by this place you are missing out - traffic on I-70 is bad anyway!

Beau Jo's is worth making a special trip to Idaho Springs for and most people do just that. Shopping is great in this little town off I-70 but the draw is for the pizza. Best pizza I have ever had and I am a lover of good food. The crust with the table served honey is great on its own.... More
