2nd year that we have done this. if you wear your pajamas you get a gift certificate for the amount of money you spend on food. you have 4 months to come back to the restaurant and use it. lots of fun to see everyone in their Pjs.

We just don't think you will be disappointed if you eat at Kennebec. The atmosphere is pleasant, the food is made from quality ingredients, prepared with care and artistic expression without being over the top. Locals go here. Dinners are reasonably price. Try the pancakes and chicken apple sausages for brunch.

We had just flown in and visiting friends when they took us up the mountain for dinner. With the snow and mountains at night this is a somewhat magical setting. Three of us had the seafood special which was a sea bass in broth and it really was good. The fourth had the salmon which was equally as good. Our... More

Miguel and Barbara continue to delight with their truly tasty and innovative offerings. A group of women dined together and all were well-pleased at the great food and service, so much so, we even ordered and ate ALL dessert.

My daughter, who lives in Durango, found this restaurant and suggested it for our recent visit. What a great surprise! First, I don't think I've ever been in a more friendly restaurant in the U.S. - and we eat out a lot (3-4 times a week). From the first phone call until our departure, we were treated warmly and respectfully.... More

Kennebec is hands down my favorite place to meet with friends, hold a special event or just escape from the kitchen with my favorite guy. The food is always fresh, delicious, and innovative. The wait staff is professional, and always accommodating. Barbara and Miguel are fabulous hosts and chefs!

Savory Squash soup and a great salad made a good shore lunch while fishing the La Plata River that runs right by the restaurant. You would not expect the quality of food and ambiance in the middle of such a beautiful and empty country. Service was very good.

Ten miles west of Durango is The Kennebec, a real gem. The wine list was excellent and all the wines ordered were available. The menu offered a wide selection of items and each order was freshly prepared and delicious. The wait staff was courteous and attentive which made the evening more enjoyable. Would I dine at the restaurant again -... More

I have just read some of the reviews for the Kennebec. I can understand the comments about the feeling of not being welcomed. We arrived on a Wednesday night at 6:30 and were brusquely asked if we had a reservation. When we responded with, no, we were greeted with a sour look and told that she was not sure we... More

It's too bad that the nice ambience of this place is ruined by mismanagement and dishonest wait staff. Our waitress basically pocketed our cash payment (with a huge tip) .Management called one of our party to say we didn't pay. the owner/manager sticks up for her dishonest staff and the snubs you by saying the amount is not enough to...
