Good meal at Venice

Had dinner there recently. It was a good experience as has been my prior visits. This time the service was a little off and the server had a tad of an attitude. The Caesar is great and comes out presented perfectly. The carbonara (my second dish) was good but not great and not quite the taste... read more

I highly recommend the smaller ribeye. It was probably the best steak I've ever had. The lobster bisque is delicious. We ordered the smoked salmon for an appetizer and it was wonderful. Practically a meal in itself. Everybody at the table was very happy. Two people ordered pasta dishes and two people ordered steaks. Fresh Parmesan liberally applied by our... More

Have read reviews on several sites about concern re: decline in quality. Went for limited menu on NYE. Hostess tried to seat us in table for two that was basically a small table "in" a doorway between rooms. Got reseated elsewhere. Had mixed salad that had minimal dressing and minimal taste. Had chicken with mushrooms and Marsala. Taste again very... More

Booked our reservation for 12 through Open Table for dinner on Christmas Day. (asked if they had children's menu; no response) Table was ready for us and we were quickly served water and bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, but the bread was way too chewy for most of us and the children ate only the softer insides. Nice... More

We have eaten here several times - the most recent during the Christmas Holidays. The food is well prepared and very flavorful - definitely creative and more authentic Italian. They have a very nice Italian wine list, especially for a suburban location. Service was quite good although the restaurant was very busy and our waitress did forget a salad (they... More

Once again, everything was outstanding. Knowledgable and attentive staff, extensive and reasonably priced wine list, delicious pasta, and always willing to accommodate special requests to menu.

It's our 3rd dinner at Venice. We're from San Diego and we were celebrating a graduation from UC Anschutz Medical School. Service was very poor. Obviously, the proprietors elected to serve quantity over quality. Our reservation was made 30 days in advance. We called ahead to confirm and ask if we could be seated 30 minutes early, the receptionist (Shai)... More

The food was great and Edward’s Service was exceptional. Sandi and I [Louie] met my niece, Carrie for dinner. I had the special, Veal Ossobuco. It was Tasty, Greasy, and full of Clogged Arteries. Carrie had the Tagliatelle Bolognese, Spaghetti, with sauce. It looked quite delicious. Sandi ordered some kind of Lasagna, which was passable at best. For dessert we... More

Out group of 10 senior guys had one area, and the wives were far away, so we could hear each other. We are a tough group and been there before, and again everyone raved about the taste and the quantity (at least half of us took home another meal). Good service, our waiter and rest of the staff were always... More

This has been our favorite restaurant for years.....we frequently dine at Venice monthly and honestly this establishment has gone way down hill. First of all the bartender "Alma" is awful and doesn't even have knowledge of her own menu. They have also changed the entire menu and eliminated most of the classic choices all of us locals enjoyed. I had... More
