Ordered fajitas. The rice was so dry, it seemed was cooked the day before and heated up in the microwave. Nobody in our party of 9 was impressed by the food. Maybe it was because it was a very crowded that Friday night with a 1 hour wait.

We've recently eaten here a couple of times, as we want the downtown area to be revived. unfortunately, we were not impressed with the food. they have a limited menu, and the food wasn't anything to write home about. Service was pretty god and the staff is friendly, but there are better places to get good food than the Rio.

We love the smothered steak burritos and the margaritas. The staff is always pleasant and responsive. Other bonuses, Pacifico on tap and and a wonderful patio.

Really my title says it all - this is the best thing on the menu. Service is sketchy at times just depends on the day. Outdoor patio is nice - good chips and salsa and margaritas

I was excited for some authentic Mexican food, I was starving. I ordered the queso... it was like congealed Velveeta, and cold at that. The chips were good... The steak fajitas were good too, nice smoky grill flavor. Tortillas were authentic. But the side of rice and beans? God no. The "rice" had peas in it... what? No flavor either.... More

Lost their liquor license due to serving under-aged patrons. Chips are good but food is not very good - and the service is non existent

You don't come here for the food or service. The food only tastes good if you are buzzed. They take forever to seat you, so I'll go the bar and order a marg. By the time you get seated you are now on marg 2. When you get your food, you are now pretty buzzed so the food is yummy... More

We live in this area. The Rio is a standard for the downtown area. They are well known for their margaritas and exceptional Mexican food. They often feature live music, usually university students, and usually very good. If you like chile rellenos, they have the best anywhere!

Every time I go to Greeley to visit my daughter, stopping here for dinner is a MUST. We were there last night, and once again, dinner was a treat. Since it was an exceptionally busy might (wait was an hour) we walked around until they texted us. We had a new waiter that was very friendly but wasn't sure of some details on the dishes. Food was mixed. I enjoyed the shrimp fajita but another eadn't that pleased with the mahi tacos. Both of us enjoyed the margaritas.
